What does Trump have to do with Biden’s impeachment inquiry?

As usual we disagree. There is no point in impeaching Biden. It will go nowhere.

There is no doubt he is getting his business education on the job. I got mine the same way. But I see no reason to expect failure. I see no reason to expect success either. I'm squarely neutral.

It's not a negative. You are assuming that an act that is bad, i.e., negative in quality, cannot be proven because it is a 'negative', but that's not what proving a negative means. "cannot prove a negative' has nothing to do with an act that is bad in quality, negative in quality.

Mathematically speaking, if someone is notorious for not paying bills, that is a falsifiable claim, so, mathematically speaking, it's not a negative. Qualitatively is it is, and this is why you are confused on that point. Not paying bills is a bad thing, giving you have your 'negative quality', but that's not what 'proving a negative means' proving a negative does not mean proving something that is bad, negative in that sense.

    For example,

If someone is notorious for not paying his bills, that is a falsifiable claim (factcheckable, in other words).

all you have to do is survey lawyers or any contractor he has worked with and see how many he stiffed.

We do know he stiffed a lot of contractors, we do know that Chris Kise got a $3 million payment up front precisely because of Trump's deadbeat reputation. So, holding an opinion given these facts, though an opinion, is reasonable.

If you said, 'prove God does not exist', that is trying to prove a negative. If you said, prove that Bill Butthead is a deadbeat, though he as a negative quality, proving it is not 'proving a negative', it is a falsifiable claim.

    Capiche?

Of course I do. I'm amazed that you didn't see the negative you put forth.

Yes, don't recall any suits in that case, let alone a suit that carries an almost 1/2 billion dollar judgement.
I don't recall any court telling Bill or Hillary that they could not serve on the board of any charitable organization.
I don't recall a court shutting down "Clinton University" because of fraud.

And after 7 months has found zip. How much taxpayer money has that wasted?
Standard procedure "A crime was committed, is he involved?"
This Committee "No crime committed but were looking into if we can find one that was."
This Committee in reality "No crime committed but if we make people believe there might have been it should cost him votes."
In the last scenario the American taxpayers are footing the bill of millions for Republican campaigning.

    what a farce!

Nunes was never anything but a lickspittle flunkie for Trump. He has no experience or competence in business, much less social media.

so, you’re working hard at looking the other way so you con pretend that this is a real business, and not just the pump and du,p scheme it actually is.

Hope you weren’t dumb enough to thow you money at him.

@Patricio Da Silva Thank you so much for the stock advice. Have you talked to Nancy Pelosi? Maybe she knows what to do since she always knows what to do with stocks before it happens.

I've explained why it isn't a negative. Your comment does nothing to refute my explanation.

That you are 'amazed' is not a counter argument.

Trump Media shares fall sharply after company reports net loss of $58 million in 2023

The share price of Trump Media fell sharply Monday morning after the social media app company closely tied to former president Donald Trump reported a net loss of $58.2 million on revenue of just $4.1 million in 2023.

Trump Media & Technology Group shares trading down by more than 14.5% as of 11 a.m. ET.

Despite that plunge, the company’s market capitalization was still more than $6 billion after its 8-K filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission revealed the loss for last year.

Much of the net loss appears to come from $39.4 million in interest expense, according to the filing.

A spokesperson for the company did not immediately reply to a request for comment on the new filing.

    https://www.cnbc.com/2024/04/01/trump-media-lost-58-million-last-year-sec-filing-shows.html

A $6B market cap for a company with those losses and no prospect of future profit is a joke. That joke being on the bagholders who own the stock.

“TMTG expects to incur operating losses for the foreseeable future,” says the filing, which came a week after the company began trading under the ticker DJT on the Nasdaq.

The filing also warns shareholders that Trump’s involvement in the company could put it at greater risk than other social media companies.

The stock is trading at around 2,000 times the annual revenue, meaning it doesn't really make any money and the stock price is just hot air. Good luck to those who invested their money on it.

    Trump's coming stock bust
    https://www.businessinsider.com/trump-media-stock-price-crash-spac-djt-truth-social-2024-4
According to a new financial filing from the company released on Monday, its total revenue was $4.1 million in 2023. Extrapolate that out, and the stock is trading at something like 2,000 times the company's annual revenue. That is, um, high. Apple, for example, trades at about seven times its total revenue. And given TMTG's paltry revenue, it actually lost $58 million last year.

Truth Social had an estimated 5 million monthly website visits in February of this year, according to third-party trackers, but the company isn't revealing exact metrics right now. By comparison, Facebook had 845 million monthly active users when it went public in 2012, and Twitter had 215 million when it IPO'd the following year. The long and the short of it is that TMTG is not a thriving business.
