You know it is so funny that is the exact impression I had been getting. I had just posted this and went to the other thread and found what I think is the most sincere post you have directed at me. Maybe I am wrong. You do have to admit some of your quick two or three word answers sometimes give that impression.
I am against all gun bans. I want to repeal the NFA. I like to shoot and go to the range with my friends. I qualified on many different weapon platforms in the military. If I am a paid troll I suck at it. Lol
Call me paranoid but as I said, I am one of those who thinks that one day the government will come for my guns. I just can't support all the proposed laws from the gun control crowd. I do think universal background checks are coming. Hope I'm wrong but I don't think so.
lots of people who want to restrict the rights of other gun owners claim they own guns I have yet to meet a serious gun owner who supports registration. Every single group that wants to ban or restrict firearms ownership supports registration

Please don't be offended but maybe you need to get out more. No two people are alike. I know people who own guns for hunting, target shooting and/or personal protection who also believe in more gun control. They see nothing wrong with checks or waiting periods. I have one friend who thinks registration of all firearms is OK. He sees no problem with it because he says he is law abiding and therefore it should make no difference to him. We disagree but are still friends. Rich

when you have been here more than a month you will learn that I have been out far more than you have. Including 45 years as a serious competitive shooter. 20 years as a world class shotgun shooter and a national class speed shooter in pistol. 24 years as a DOJ attorney, Former general counsel for one of the largest NRA affiliated sportsmen's associations in the USA. Counsel for gun dealers and a Title II (machine gun) maker. I said serious gun owners and advocates. Not country club skeet shooters or yuppies who do sporting clays once a month.
