Lucky you. I'm at home in mom's basement. Careful who you get a massage from. David Carradine had some problems when he was in Thailand.
He does know that. Diane Feinstein, Miss Gun Control, comes to mind, she was discovered to have concealed carry and handguns. Her and Star Trek Borg like attitude, you will be assimilated into Gun Control, resistance is futile, etc.....
OH there are lots of country club yuppies who think registration will keep poor blacks from getting guns. I see it all the time. I have a locker next to such a person. He whines about Trust funds and supports a big increase in the death tax and has never had to work a day in his life since his father left him 10M so he hangs out with his second wife-a far left artist and complains about the NRA and Trump. But he's not a serious gun owner even though he owns few bird guns. When I was an active pro gun lobbyist before joining the DOJ, I would be at the big blue book cocktail parties and have the pampered "muffies" (rich trophy wives and soccer moms) tell me they didn't have problems if people like ME (wealthy white Ivy leaguers) owning guns but they really were worried about "rednecks" (anyone without a college degree to them) or blacks having guns. Most of them were married to men who owned guns those are not serious gun owners
LOL. Interesting way of describing it. I have moved in some different circles over the course of my life and have known some real characters from throughout the spectrum. I know some wealthy folks in California who have memberships in private duck and pheasant clubs. They own twenty thousand dollar shotguns and carry concealed hand guns. They are very serious gun owners and they favor gun control. It takes all kinds. Anyway, if I offended, it was not my intent. My apologies. Rich
The military has all the really cool guns. Guns you guys can only see in pictures. But never call them guns. Learned that the hard way. Lol
Military here. Seen lots of guns, um, rifles. When I joined we were still using the M16A1. So anyway, apologies about the troll comment.
No worries dude. This stuff is just for fun. Nobody is converting anyone here but sometimes on rare occasions we can find mutual agreement. My first rifle I qualified on was a m 14. Pretty good at long ranges but heavy as hell.
An interesting rifle. I have seen many, held a few, but never shot one. I do hunt so have packed around a heavy rifle a few times. We may not be converting anyone here but it is making me do a lot of thinking and maybe helping me formulate things for when I am confronted directly. And as you say, maybe an occasional agreement. Have a good night. Rich
I really liked it many ways. It's very accurate and still works as a sniper rifle. We had m 16 's too but it was great to qualify on a ww2 weapon. Night? Its the middle of the day here. Lol
i own two guns and support stronger gun laws. most of the folks i know in NY who own guns also support stronger gun laws. i guess we are just better educated over here
My own owning friends have Masters and PhDs, and none of them want "stronger" gun laws. If your NY friends want laws that are not Constitutional, effective, enforceable, cost effective, and would be enforced, then their education isn't serving them well.
i believe gun permits should be free for black people due to their history of persecution in this country,
@Turtledude stop accusing me and other members of having "stockholm syndrome". It is a personal attack and derail.
Very few states require anyone to need a permit to own a handgun. Owning a handgun is a protected right that should require a permit for any non-prohibited person.
Freedom of Speech is also a protected right but you need a permit to hold a demonstration on the White House lawn.
I see that problem frequently with some 1911s. There are several possibilities for resolving. You are correct regarding 1911 steep feed ramps. They are steep and usually work far more reliably with hardball. A few of the possibilities, timing of mag feed because of mag spring/recoil spring combination. Sometimes can be felt by manually pushing round out of mag and feeling if there is a noticeable drag, uneven feed, even drag on loading mag. Several fixes possible... different mag, polish mag interior, different recoil spring...up or down a pound or two. Also Check rounds sitting in mag and note the angle, relationship to the feed ramp, relationship to the mag’s feed lip. Poorly cut (slightly off or burrs) mag release cutouts can effect mag seating... fairly easy to resolve. Many older mags had feed lips that trended to hold case slightly longer...ok for hard ball but often caused tip to jump on feed hitting top of chamber ... newer mags often have better profile to eliminate that problem (if your range rents Kimbers, ask if you can try one of the mags from a rental). Chip McCormicks makes good mags with subtle mods that solve many mag related feeding issues. Many 1911s, OTB, often have revenant, visible tool marks on the ramp and top of the chamber that can lead to inconsistent feeding. A ramp and top of chamber polishing job can often help, but if you are too aggressive you can ruin a barrel or undercut the chamber. I have had and worked on a lot of 1911’s and unlike many, I like them, but would admit a lot can go wrong at the wrong time if the bugs for one aren’t sorted, the gun is not well maintained, or ammo equation is not figured for feed reliability. Until I get one tuned to 100%, it stays at home. Many times, I have found problems resolved by sorting out mag or recoil spring issues, the latter problem, more often found with compact 1911s. PM if you like, might be able to point you in right direction with more info if you haven’t sorted it. BTW, I just finished range testing repair jobs for a Kimber Carry II and a Springfield Micro Compact yesterday for local customers.
