That's what I'm talking about. MEAN trolls. Cruel people online who just want to upset other people or ruin threads, etc.
Why should everyone else have to tolerate their rude and uncivilized behavior? There are some sites where trolls will be treated the way they need to be treated.
Okay, I don't know how we veered off the topic so much (was it my fault ??). Anyways, the topic is trolls. Animals and hunters are not trolls as far as I know.
They DO "help" generate comments.... So long as it's not too outrageous, I say let 'em be. It's kinda fun to watch them twist, & fidget, once engaged with a poster who'll whoop their fanny without breaking TOS on a site.
IDK about that last. Bird hunters might disagree.... As a matter of fact, I personally have been IRL_Trolled by a few deer!
Trolls are compete POS. Plain and simple. YOu have to be a real loser and a complete a hole to go around intentionally posting dumb and hateful things to get a rise out of people because you know you are such a horrible person. Either that or a stupid kid, who are immature or tend to do stupid things and some don't know better I should add another option, people that are so incredibly stupid or so dishonest and stuck in their incorrect positions that they think deflecting, saying stupid false things, and repeating over and over again is actually them making an argument.
Well, yes, they run into trouble where there is moderation. This drives them to certain haunts where they can get away with being themselves, though from experience I know they'll also just reregister at a given site as many times as they please and continue to stir up trouble. It's nothing to them if they lose an account - they'll just make another.
It's getting harder & harder to identify an actual troll though. Especially with those darling pimple farms constantly online with their wide variety of devices, repeating whatever rubbish pops into their little brain sockets.
I think we all make some funny comments or comment about how stupid we might feel a post is or something to that effect. I don't really consider that trolling though. Trolling is like making up lies about people, spreading lies about people, trying to make someone's online experience be awful, just being a mean arse in general. AND there is a difference between just being a miserable person and being a troll. There are plenty of miserable posters who I wouldn't consider trolls, just a-holes.
This is true. I do also like to tease liberals about their stupid views sometimes though, so I guess I myself could be considered a troll at times, but there are some people where this is basically all they do, every post, every day.
The difference between myself and a troll though is that if I get in a heated discussion and say something that I know is probably inappropriate, I feel bad about it later, and not good about myself like a troll does.
Back in MY day, when Trolling meant something, people studied their craft. I like to toy with trolls now though. It's really amazing how well you can Whack-a-Troll without violating TOS to a point where you'd get banned for Trolling a Troll, pretty much NetWide.
I don't get "upset" about them. I get pissed off and I want to punch them in the faces. IMO, the WORST kind of people are those who would spread untrue rumors about others, and there are quite of few of those kind of trolls around too.
At another forum I post at, the trolls are just out of control with their rumors and lies. And these are all OLDER people (40s, 50s, 60s, even 70s and maybe even 80s!) too. They seem to behave like a bunch of 12-year-olds. It's pretty pathetic.
All the thought-filled Trolling I fear has been done already. Now it's all memes, video clips, & emojis, with sprinklings of lowbrow wit. Sad state of affairs.
Can you imagine if your parent behaved in such a way? How embarrassing! I mean really, there are these groups of old people who are using vile language, calling each other all kinds of nasty names, spreading rumors about each other (or whomever they happen to hate that week!), and they think they are some kind of grandparent gang or something.
Yes, I wonder what kind of people they are in real life. Lol. I mean, where does that online behavior come from? It must come from some place dark.
