Iran can cause great harm to both Israel and the US but realistically speaking Ahmy is losing it and those statements are for domestic consumption. If Iran gets into any military confrontation right now in my humble opinion the only certainty is the collapse of their regime .

The Benghazi incident isn't an indicator , Libyans are pro-America and they voted an ex Professor of the University of Arizona (or Alabama) for their president leaving Islamists out of the game . The problem from what i have read are the "pocket armies" - small armed groups of fanatics but this is natural for a country just after a revolution. Obama should stick with the Libyans even at psychological level only and they will wipe those fanatics out on their own.

 

Do you have some examples of the Shah's tyranny? Was it his acceptance of western values? He did let his citizens listen to the radio, wear makeup, western style clothing, skip Friday prayers, think for themselves, divorce their abusive husbands, - - the list of un-islamic activities is pretty long alright. On the other hand he also punished traitors to the country in ways that they understood.

As you know if you have a clue, the reason the Shah was overthrown was his acceptance of western values.

In that BH Obama has all but spit in Israel's eye over and over I think that it is you that is the fool here. If Israel waits until after the election BHO will do nothing after he thinks about what to do for a week. If Israel attack today BHO will call in from the campaign trail and promise to help if the Jews will donate more money to his campaign. But in the end his team will do too little too late to help.

Even if Iran attacks our bases in Afghanistan BHO will spend days trying to decide what to do before he retreats and apologizes for the evils of Israel for going without his consent.

I just hope that a few of our generals will respond and cook the Iranian leaders and a few hundred thousand of the Revolutionary Guard.

An unrestrained military exchange with us might be the best thing that can happen to the Iranian people that will be left alive.
