In creation, we can expose Falsehood
تا راه راستی را از آن جدا نمود
In order to separate the path of Truth from it.

Enlightenment is that which learns from creation
میل به راستی ماندگار کند
That which nurtures our desire for Truth
راه راستی روشن کند
That which lights the path to Truth.

 

And as it relates to all narratives about politics, history and social events more generally, the following captures my theology:

Any narrative about truth is but a fiction

And any fiction is but a form of speech

That fiction that paves the path towards Truth

That clarifies Falsehood
نور نا پیدا راستی را نمایان کند
That lights the invisible light of Truth
فرد خردسال را به راستی مایل کند
That makes the child interested in the path of Truth
از چاه و چاله دروغی دور کند
That distances us from the valleys and pits of Falsehood

آن افسانه در خدمت راستی است
That fiction is in the service of Truth
در نبرد با دروغی است
In battle against Falsehood

Falsehood is not a thing or person. Falsehood is lies: it is that which can be demonstrated to be false. And which is said/promoted with knowledge that it is false. That which is merely false, but not said or promoted with knowledge of its falsehood, is ignorance. Ignorance is a common affliction of all humans. The best humans can do is to be enlightened enough so that by avoiding falsehood, they follow the path to truth. Truth, however, is elusive and beyond human capacity to fully grasp or know.

The view of the universe as a cosmic battle between the forces of good against evil and against falsehood, has pre-Islamic, Zoroastrian origins. Which doesn't mean everyone influenced by these views (and they have influenced all major, monotheistic, religions, including new Judaism, Christianity and Islam) is a Zoroastrian.
