But but but ISIS... I can already hear liberal MSM and Democrats crying about pulling the US out of Iraq the way they cried when Trump wanted out of Syria.

Obama never should have sent the US military back in. Good, lets get the hell out of there now!

And it will be a bloodbath taken from the Sunni who ruled the country for a long time.

The shia and Iran, will take over.

What you have is someone who likes to rant and shout but not to fight. Beside him two hawks with their teeth on a battle with Iraq. People believe this is a very dangerous concoction.

However we now have Zarif getting into a Tweet game with Trump
    http://www.politicalforum.com/index...litary-presence.556011/page-3#post-1070586050

I've watched him in long interviews. He appears very intelligent with a sense of humour and he thinks he understands Trump. He does not believe Trump wants war. To him it is the 4 B's That is Bolton, Bibi, Bin Salmon and the Bin President of UAE. If he has sussed Trump right that could help change things, help to stop Trump finding himself calling for war.

As far as oil is concerned. Mandelus also speaks of this above. Here is the thing. When oil goes up it does not matter where you are living or who is giving you your oil, the price goes up for everyone. The US will feel that and feel it badly. Scotland will make a bit of money from it but the people will suffer because like you our oil will cost more.

Nothing compared to when we leave.
Shittes and Sunni are sworn enemies.
The other is a "Bad muslim".

BTW Christians and Jews, the few that are there, will also suffer.

There are many minority groups living in Iran and they are just fine, none of which are the real issue.

The problem for the US is the S-400 Iraq is planning to purchase from the Russians, and their plans to get rid of the US military by law... especially in view of the $53 billion Exxon contract due to be signed any day now...but delayed due to the evacuation of Exxon personnel.

They were not a problem with saddam, because they were protected.
They were slaughtered by many independent groups after his fall.
    Good Muslims practicing their religion
Now we are the protectors, and as soon as we leave the sh-t will hit the fan.

We basically won the Iraq/Iran war for Iran.

nonsense... Saddam was one of the cruelest sickest bastards to walk this earth... he used mustard gas in the war against Iran, and when that ended he finished his supplies on the Kurds

Yes agree on winning Iraq for Iran but it came at great cost to them, they were on the front line battling ISIS

    No sh-t sherlock.
WTF do you think you need to do to control these people.
All of these Muslim countries are terrorist to the other side.

We went in there thinking,. Get rid of the evil dictator and they will have elections,
feed the unicorns, and everyone will be in their happy place.
    TOTAL FAIL.

These people need a dictator, someone telling them what to do.
We destabilized the country, and now it will not be stable again until Iran takes over.

The reality is, we don't want Iran in Iraq, because it's not in our best interests. But the fact is, Iran in Iraq is imo in the best interest of the Iraqi people ito stability...like Assad in Syria.

The reality is that the 1/3 Sunni under Saddam controlled the 1/3's Shia, and there was stability.
Now the 2/3's want the country and they are loyal to Iran, and they are not afraid to kill.

and they will take it once we are out.
and Iran will supply weapons to do so.

The reality is your fractions are wrong  but I notice you corrected it in your second sentence.

How convenient we skip the whole ISIS debacle, if Iraq doesn't want us there then in reality we shouldn't be there... however what the people want has never since the discovery of oil mattered in the slightest. The US will do what it must to secure it's position and it has nothing to do with lending a helping hand or human rights.

we didn't know the results when we went in, thinking these people can be civilized. Now we are stuck.

It depends who has the weapons, regardless it will be quite the confrontation.

I just hope we stay out of it.

We should give both sides weapons.

Is it smart for a wounded chimpanzee to provoke a silverback?

We need to let them kill each other, before we can attempt to civilize any of them.

"The War Powers Resolution requires the President to notify Congress within 48 hours of committing armed forces to military action and forbids armed forces from remaining for more than 60 days, with a further 30-day withdrawal period, without a Congressional authorization for use of military force (AUMF) or a declaration of war by the United States."

In other words, the president, any president has 90 days to use military force anywhere and anyway he wants even without congressional approval. President Obama never did get congressional approval for Libya which last beyond the 90 day time limit as stated in the War Powers Act.
