If you read what christ said, the kingdom is within, and one needs to seek it this is all that is needed. So all that is needed is for someone to tell you that, what he taught, and you would not need to read a damn thing after that. You only need a book, and to read, if someone wants to form a religion and insert himself as an authority, for power and profit. Then since he can read, and you cannot, he can teach you anything he wants to, as the RCC did for a long time when the bible was in latin which only scholars could read. lol Or the religious class. Clever.

Christianity took God from within us and put him up there somewhere.

Gnostic Christianity on the other hand preach/teach what you put.

Perhaps that is why intelligent and moral people say that the only good Christians are Gnostic Christians.

Gnostic Christian Jesus said, "If those who attract you say, 'See, the Kingdom is in the sky,' then the birds of the sky will precede you.

If they say to you, 'It is under the earth,' then the fish of the sea will precede you.

Rather, the Kingdom of God is inside of you, and it is outside of you.

As you can see from that quote, if we see God's kingdom all around us and inside of us, we cannot think that the world is anything but evolving perfection. Most just don't see it and live in poverty.

Oh yes, I am well schooled in Gnosticism. I like the new Gnosticism you see today. And if I were to decide to be a christian, the Gnostic way is the way I would go. I really can relate to the Gospel of Thomas. And it is my opinion that the original teachings of christ were very gnostic in essence. I even think this may have been the original true understanding. It got corrupted so it could be used by men who wanted a position in the church, and to make it amiable to be the religion of the roman empire. A gnostic understanding of christ would of course, not allow that.

 

This is especially true if different members in the transmission chain have explicitly different agendas, as was the case in early Christianity. For example, the Christian message in Rome needed to be differently tweeted from the Christian message in jerusalem

 

Creating many tribes is a strange manuever as well.

What is snowflake 101? My course in prejudice is very in-depth requires lots of reading, lots of research etc. Prejudice is not only about race or religion it is about aging it it’s about disabilities it is about class, it is about life styles etc. I think I learn more from my students than they do from me
