You mean besides Westboro Baptist Church harassing gays, Jews, Muslims?
How about the three men in Portland who tried to stop white supremacist Jeremy Christian from harassing two women who appeared to be Muslim. For their bravery, the three men were viciously attacked; two were murdered and the third was seriously injured.
How about the many examples of conservatives accusing people of being an illegal immigrants JUST because they look Mexican?
How about conservatives harassing abortion clinics staff?
Oh right...you probably don't consider any of that harassment.

Like I said....BOTH sides are guilty of harassing the other side. Only a biased fool would think the harassment is one-sided.

And how, pray tell, would anyone in a restaurant know the politics of total strangers patronizing their restaurant? Oh right, they wouldn't...just more hyperbole by you. Carry on.

Yours is exactly the type of post that inspired my signature line, so in that spirit, I will go as far as I can until I hit BS...

BS found!: "You mean besides Westboro Baptist Church harassing gays, Jews, Muslims?"

Westboro had at most, 43 members of mostly one family who were both attorneys and Democrats. So I don't know what the basis is of declaring them as part of the right. They were wingnuts of your guys. Now, let's see if you can find some institution of the right that actually supported the Westboro Church? Fox News? National Review? Certainly not the Washington Post, as in this case.

As a side note, I had no idea Westboro harassed Jews and Muslims. I thought just gays were their target?

Credibility on an online forum is usually based on a history of posting comments that, when leaning on some factual point, is in fact accurate. However I didn't think I needed to provide links for this tidbit since I assumed it was common knowledge for anyone vaguely familiar with the issue. Since you clearly don't...

If you do it expect to be arrested and sued.

There are rules for them, and rules for us.

That would sort of be the point you know? I'm not interested in a world where I have to check on the political leanings of the wait staff before I go out to eat but the idiot who wrote that tripe seems to be in favor though that's likely only because he is convinced of his own moral superiority.

Phelps was a Democrat like David Duke is a Republican. But you may recall Trump embracing Duke. What Democrat embraced Phelps?

This discussion signals desperate attempts by Republicans to suggest Democrats are as racist as they are and only reveals self-loathing or stupidity.

    Wiki says...

    Democratic Party
    [IMG]

Phelps ran in various Kansas Democratic Party primaries five times, but never won. These included races for governor in 1990, 1994, and 1998, receiving about 15 percent of the vote in 1998.[83] In the 1992 Democratic Party primary for U.S. Senate, Phelps received 31 percent of the vote.[84] Phelps ran for mayor of Topeka in 1993[85][86] and 1997.[87]

Phelps supported Al Gore in the 1988 Democratic Party presidential primary election.[87] In his 1984 Senate race, Gore had opposed a "gay bill of rights" and stated that homosexuality was not something that "society should affirm", a position Gore had publicly changed by 2000 as his official position. Phelps stated that he supported Gore because of these earlier comments.[88]

I suppose Farrakhan is a Democrat. Are you suggesting that remote/ marginal haters reflect the Democratic party? This is such intellectual dishonesty that only desperate Republicans resort to. Tedious and mindless.

He seems like a real Democrat to me.

"The founder of Westboro Baptist Church, Fred Phelps, notorious for leading hateful protests against gay rights, is actually a Democrat with long history of endorsing Democratic candidates.

On Tuesday, Politico provided some background on Phelps' political history, most of which saw him endorsing Democrat candidates and running for office a number of times as a Democrat. In the 1990's, Phelps ran in three Kansas Democratic primaries for Governor in 1990, 1994, and 1998, receiving only 15% of the vote. He also ran for Senator in 1992, receiving 31% of the vote, and for mayor of Topeka in 1993 and 1997.

Phelp's endorsed Al Gore for the 1988 Presidential candidacy due to his opposition to a "gay bill of rights" and comments that homosexuality wasn't something "society should affirm." Phelps and his congregation later picketed the 1997 inaugural ceremony after he switched his opinions on gay rights. He also endorsed Bill Clinton in 1992.

In 1997, Phelps wrote a letter to Saddam Hussein, praising him for being "the only Muslim state that allows the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ to be freely and openly preached on the streets." Hussein then granted Phelps permission to send a delegation to "preach the Gospel" for one week. Church congregates then traveled to Iraq where they protested the U.S. by standing on the streets of Baghdad holding signs condemning Bill and Hillary Clinton.

Phelps has also led protests against the funerals of Ronald Reagan, Barry Goldwater, and William Rehnquist."

And when did Trump embrace Duke?

Merely pointing out that calling the westboro baptist church a branch of the republican party simply doesn't work.

Never in fact his only real comment on Duke was. "Whose that"? in one of those obscene interviews wherein some dipstick reporter wanted him to disavow every racist clown in the country by way of proving he, Trump, wasn't a racist. And some of those people you've got to dig really far into the weeds just to discover they exist.

It got much worse because Trump won't put up with leftist ********* being thrown at him and his family and so responds in kind. You don't like stones being thrown at you don't throw them at others.

Kinda crazy no? I think one of the problems that will not go away due to free speech is the instant publication of opinion, often wrong, on the internet that gets repeated over and over in one day.
