Is it legal in most States to protest outside homes? Shouldn't it be illegal everywhere?

Well, a soon to be Supreme Court Justice didn't know what a "woman" was, so...

Well if you say that "peaceful" means simply "devoid of violence or force" then that includes a peaceful protest on a highway which shuts it down. Should that be legal do you think?

What does that have to do with chris struggling to understand what 'peaceful' means?

In all seriousness, there are a lot of whackjobs that are over the moon passionate in support of Roe v Wade. It only takes one of them to conclude that if they knock off one of these justices they can maintain Roe v Wade and eliminate the Conservative court in one fell swoop. This is one of the reasons that publishing this draft so early is incredibly dangerous.

Surely I am not the first one that has thought of this, and hopefully they have instituted Secret Service-level protection for these justices. My guess is that you will not see a public glimpse of any of them until after this decision is final.

I would almost predict that some whackjob will try this if they get the slightest opportunity. Given the circumstances, these people outside their houses are extremely menacing. It really is not a joke.

What if the cops would not arrest them? What if no cops were present, which seems to be the case with the judges?

Is it your intent to defend the unlawful protests attempting to sway the conservative justices? I saw Pelosi do it. I watched Jen Psaki do it, so you think it's ok as well?

The Constitution doesn't, as conservatives never tire of pointing out, mention abortion at all. Why would we need an Amendment to declare it a right to have one legislatively?

The midterms WERE going to be a "blood bath" for the Dems; not any more. Most married and cohabiting people are far from "ambivalent" as to who can choose as how many children they have Like most fanatics conservatives are usually very wrong as to how religious we all are.

Where did I indicate unlawful protesting is ok? Just show me one post where I said anything remotely close to that. Go ahead...I'll wait.

Typical Republican. No protests are peaceful, (or allowed)

How dare we hoi polloi protest when our betters speak?

If overturning Roe v Wade made abortion illegal everywhere, then you might have a point. Since it does not, and it would simply require the inconvenience of having to go to another state to have the procedure, the married and cohabiting people to which you refer will be mostly ambivalent, at least as far as the people that were not already rabidly in support of Roe v Wade.

Then again, if they were already rabidly in support of Roe v Wade, they were also overwhelmingly likely to be a Dem voter and the type that always shows up at the polls.

This massive tide switch that you think will occur, IMHO, will not materialize as you hope.

You said quote: What does that have to do with chris struggling to understand what 'peaceful' means? Seems to be declaring your support for those protesting, because of its peaceful nature. If you wish to clarify, be my guest...

LOL.. Your version is only government or party authorized protests... I suppose that makes the point more salient given your unwillingness to recognize that the right are pointing to the "mostly peaceful" protests that erupted into violence, killing of innocent folks, arson, etc. Which you misrepresent as no protests, which wasn't asserted, was it. But when your political opposition protest, you call it insurrection, even the only death was an unarmed former US AirForce veteran, shot by a minority hire.

Wait...let me see if I understand you correctly. The comment you have italicized above was in response to Supreme Court Justice not knowing what a "woman" was and that exchange somehow led you to believe I was defending illegal protests? WTF....

I got the wrong impression from the thread title.

I would have to agree, protesting at someone's home seems like an infringement on that person's home.

Your comment was one in which you excoriated another poster for not knowing the definition of "peaceful". Sorry if you feel you got cornered here, but it was your own post and words...
