I can recall that I abhorred all forms of advertising even as a child. Nothing has changed in that regard. Never liked the idea of being manipulated by anyone else.

There will be change that is for certain. That this nation will survive the change is uncertain. As much as i am a fan of the individual I don't see that as a workable future. On one hand i see socialism as the way forward. On the other i recognize that it will not work the way those who advocate for it wish it would.

 

My major in college was TV and radio production with another major in communications...I didn't mind writing and producing until it came to the lies of commercialism..I stopped doing it before thirty and took up more honest work yet my entire life I have made it a point to tell the truth no matter how much it hurts...I have no cable or TV service and have not for many years due to my dislike of the so called art..

Regardless of the society i will support myself. You take the hand you are dealt and either work to improve it or fold and let others dictate your options. I wasn't born with a royal flush.

An ism will only ever be as good as the folks behind it. I have come to realize that a socialistic society requires a greater sense of responsibility to society than capitalism and until we can be responsible with capitalism socialism will not work.

No system is perfect and all need outside observers to stop the encroachment from liberties..Capitalism allows the same oppression as any other system in place there is no difference

If you're referring to Sweden, they weren't illegal, Sweden took them in willingly and is now paying the price.
