Of course you would think that everyone who goes to an Ivy League school is privileged. That’s because you don’t know very much about all the scholarships that are awarded. You are right though there are people like trump and George Bush who got into those schools because of connections. I did not say I would have gone to Harvard and I will repeat it once again for you… “I could not have applied to college because I was a female” Today I could and I don’t know if I would get accepted or not.I did get excepted to Cornell which is an Ivy League school

I am still "disadvantaged" according to intersectional theory.

The SPLC is a hate group that lies and inspires violence against those that hold views they disagree with. No, the KKK Hasn’t Taken Over Arkansas (and Never Trust the SPLC Anyway).

Oh that mentality again going after Elizabeth Warren . The Boston Globe among others conducted a rigorous examination of Warren’s legal career, and it is now clear that she never benefited professionally from Native American associations.

“The Globe found clear evidence, in documents and interviews, that her claim to Native American ethnicity was never considered by the Harvard Law faculty, which voted resoundingly to hire her, or by those who hired her to four prior positions at other law schools,” the newspaper concluded.

It's really quite telling that you weren't able to simply just respond with why a black man can't be seen as a black man! That tells me that you don't even know what you were saying and now you can't explain it! :roflol:

Ask the police. Ask the black person who is followed around in the store. Black people are viewed with suspicion and if you want to pretend they’re not is nothing more I can say

Okay, but I'm not sure why that is the opposite to being seen as a black man. When people are suspicious of a black man, aren't they seeing them as a black man?

What I noticed is kids from two parent families seem to do better in school and in life in general. Not always, but in speaking in generals. Even if both parents work, kids left with grand parents instead of daycare, after school programs or letting the TV and video games raise the kids also do better.

Is that white privilege? Only in the sense that more white kids are raised in two parent families than black kids. It also should be noted that single parent white families are on the increase putting those kids to the same disadvantage as single parent black kids.

I think this is important. It's also a change in our society that I think is putting our society on the wrong track.

From what I'm reading, there are hassles white people may avoid (people NOT crossing the street at night as a white person approaches sorta stuff). I'm not seeing enough that is material to the vast majority of white people that would explain why they should be subject to discrimination in education, hiring, etc. to help "balance the scales" so to speak. I hope our courts find such discrimination un Constitutional in the near future. In the alternative, under the 1sts protection of freedom of association, end the nose counting quota stuff of the present.

It is fact that she attempted to benefit professionally from a dishonest claim that she is native American. Whether they took her claim into consideration or not is irrelevant.

How do you suggest leveling the playing field? Tell me how white people are denied education and denied hiring strictly because they are white or male. When top colleges deny males admission, you have a case. When whites have to sit in he back of the bus, you have a case. You have had all these privileges for hundreds of years while blacks and women were denied these. Look at the power structure and it’s predominantly white males so please stop complaining. I know it’s hard to have to share some of the pie but when people have been held back for hundreds of years it’s like a laned race where the person on the outside Gets a head start

I noticed your tag says small business owner. Just think if it weren’t for the women before you you probably would not have been able to get a business loan...you’re welcome

I'm a woman, just like you (only more successful, less bitter, and with better writing skills.)

I didn't start my business with a business loan nor have I ever even attempted to take advantage of the affirmative action opportunities offered to women.

Just pointing out a pretty obvious spelling mistake for someone who thinks they would have been a Harvard grad except sexism.

You may in fact be smarter than me, but I admit I've seen little evidence of it. Although it's clear that you have a sense of entitlement far exceeding whatever you think I have because of some sort of white male privilege.

No there is no white privilege. It is used by the lazy to excuse themselves.

I am a good example. I left the farm, went to the Navy, where they taught me electronics. When I go out I got a 47 year job with the largest office equipment and computer company. I have a good retirement and a good health plan.

But --------------------- I worked my ass off. Like everyone I was on call 24/7/365, and took call outs at 3 in the morning during blizzards. Yes I am white, and got a little piece of the American dream, but zero in on the word WORKED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think it was all the way back in the 1980s Donald Trump said with the special set asides black people got, he'd gladly trade places. The clip I started this thread with had a young black lady concede that her dad, without privilege, got through Harvard and got rich. She had the best of everything. I see no reason she should have special privilege but she is a proud recipient of affirmative action. That should stop.

I once got stopped for armed robbery. Dead ringer for the suspect, down to my clothes and vehicle. Simply saying it wasn't me while white got me off. So yes, it's a thing.

I have been stopped by the police at least three times because I have happened to find myself around areas where crimes have been commited.

After some "Good evenings" and "what are you doing heres" and "seen anythings", they've let me go. It is not really that dramatic and nothing to be offended by. They are just doing their job.

I truly doubt if you are more successful than I. I doubt if you are a better writer than I am and it sounds like you are more bitter than I am with your childish personal attacks. Well obviously you’re wealthy enough to start your own business without a loan and that’s terrific.
