Any God that can't forgive honest doubt, but is okay with you joking about the kidnapping, sexual torture and rape of your neighbor doesn't sound like the sort of God I'd want to spend eternity with.

Let's see---1.4 Billion Muslims in the world (not counting you), and an army of 200 Million sounds very feasible, huh?

What madness makes you think that the Russians or the Chinese or the Muslims give a rat's behind about pipsqueak Israel?

    Who doesnt 'get' it?!!

Poll taken of 'US' Muslims said 25% believe in enforcing Sharia Law----what about "Death to America, the Great Satan" and "Death to Israel, the little Satan?" Seems like a common saying among middle-east Muslim/Persian nations (Syria, Pakistan, Iran, the Muslim Brotherhood thru out, etc.)...yeah, the Muslims really love Israel!!

You really are into jingles, aren't you?

Further, not all Christians believe in the futuristic interpretation of Revelation.. and none of the mainstream churches taught that crap before the Great Depression and the Dust Bowl. But, it sure captured the imaginations of the poor and uneducated.

It's just one small example of many that humans seriously overestimate their place and importance in the cosmos.

The Word of God (contained 'within' the scriptures) is called "alive" and wont pass away, and timely revelation of the Word 'at the time' is God's plan. You know, for "those who have ears to hear'....which apparently aint YOU. I think you fall under the 'stiff necked' group..

The Revelation was a letter of encouragement and instruction to the seven churches.. They understood the symbolism perfectly.. You can understand most of it if you study the history and politics of the times.

    - - - Updated - - -

No kidding.. He doesn't even know the first thing about "Jubilee".. The charlatans are popping out of the woodwork.. See Franklin Graham's latest.

This is the LAST time I'm gonna say this, Margot----Types & Shadows, Types & Shadows, Types & Shadows, Types & Shadows, v Types & Shadows, Types & Shadows, Types & Shadows, v Types & Shadows, Types & Shadows, Types & Shadows, ad nausea

Again, just as Isaac was the son of the promise given to father Abraham; Jesus was the begotten Son of the promise of Father God in REALITY! Isaac & Abraham were types of Jesus and God the Father foreshadowing God's plan (to be revealed at "the time").

I give up repeating the same thing to ppl who 'dont want to hear!!

Jesus is supposed to be a scary guy when he returns

    http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Revelation 19:11-16&version=KJV

11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.

12 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.

13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.

14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.

15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.

16 And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.

Who cares what nutters choose to call ancient mythical writings? The Bible is no more "alive" than the Vedas.

"Types & Shadows" and the related "double fulfillment" are just a ploy to make prophecy more vague and pliable than it already is, and an excuse to take any verse out of context when it suits your purposes.

    Exodus 29:39
The one lamb thou shalt offer in the morning; and the other lamb thou shalt offer at even

Guys! I started roasting a lamb this morning and I'm planning on having leftovers tonight! And I'm offering some scraps to my dog both times! Types & shadows! Double fulfillment! The end is upon us!

That's one thing I like about Revelation - it's written in the kind of language that gives you goose bumps. It's good fiction.

The Jews had long included this same idea themselves, and John was just adding to the Jewish apocalypse itself, long surviving before 32AD:

The same scene is depicted in REVELATION, ch. xix. 11, 16 (also altered by the Christian compiler), where the seer beholds "upon a white horse" him who is "to judge and to make war"; his eyes are a flame of fire, and on his (triple ?) crown the Ineffable Name is written; he is clothed with a vesture dipped in blood (Isa. lxiii. 3), and his name is. . . . Heavenly hosts follow him on white horses, and out of his mouth goes a sharp sword with which he shall smite the nations. He shall rule them with a rod of iron (comp. Ps. ii. 9) and tread the wine-press of the wrath of the Lord of Hosts (Isa. lxxiii. 6); and on his vesture and thigh is written, "King of Kings and Lord of Lords." The closing scene is described in REVELATION xix. 17-18, 21: A voice ("of an angel standing in the sun"—certainly not genuine) calls, in the words of Ezek. xxxix. 17-20, all the fowls and beasts together for the great sacrifice ("supper") of God, at which they are to eat "the flesh of kings, of captains, and mighty men, of horses and of those who ride on them, and the flesh of all men both free and bond, small and great, . . . and the fowls were filled with their flesh."

OverDRive...… I have probably asked you this before........ but from your research so far would you personally say that former atheist Howard Storm probably actually met with Messiah Yeshua - Jesus in his glorified form during his near death experience?

A significant percentage of Christians would tend to think that he may have actually met with Satan. Back in the early '90's I went through a phase where I wondered what the source of NDE accounts really was?

The Talmud, the Midrash, and the Kabbalistic work, the Zohar, state that the 'deadline' by which the Messiah must appear is 6,000 years from creation. According to tradition, the Hebrew calendar started at the time of Creation, placed at 3761 BC. The current (2014/2015) Hebrew year is 5775.
