Daily running street battles with Muslims, in the streets of Paris, is what would be needed before I'd even consider camps for the most radical Muslims, but because that day (hopefully it never comes) would be so FAR OFF I can't, today, say that we should put Muslims in camps someday. It's too far down the road (fortunately) - so no, I don't agree that "Muslims should be put in camps at some point." That requires too many "what ifs" to say today that they should likely be put in camps.

I met some really attractive muslims in Jordan. Those ladies wore western clothing. Oman as well.

So show us the changes in the Islamic texts, due to modernization, that have occurred in the last 100 years, ArmySoldier. If you can't, then you should probably STHU, my friend. Go ahead, we'll wait.

You dodged, just like the character in your avatar!

You KNOW it's about 0.1%, so you won't answer the question. I'm right, I know it.

Only the extremists care about the word for word texts. That's what makes that small fraction "extreme".

Muslims have become very westernized in many nations. Obviously you've never been to one. I will give you Saudi Arabia though. That's a very extreme country and I hope to never return to Riyadh.

If Muslims ever are like having, say, Nazi troops on the streets of America, then I think MANY Americans would consider camps....but again, that's so far far (fortunately) down the road that today I'm not going to advocate camps in the future - it's too far of a mental stretch to make, and too discouraging to think about as well.

So you, ArmySoldier, can stand outside a mosque and BURN A QURAN and virtually none of the Muslims would try to hurt you because "nly the extremists care about the word for word texts"?

You have no idea what you're talking about - so ask Muslims this question, for starters: "Slavery is now wrong of course, so did Allah get it wrong approving of slavery - and if so, then shouldn't you change many verses in the Qur'an?" Go ahead, ask them, then get back to us after you're out of the hospital.

What nation is the birth-place, the home of Islam? The nation that Muslims most think of when they think of Islam, ArmySoldier?

It's an "extreme country" because it's an extreme religion.

You and muslim extremists have a lot in common. You both take the text too literally.

I just googled the definition of "irony". Got a good laugh

Yes, many Americans would throw their convictions out the window and put innocent people in concentration camps because they are scared. You would be one of them.

Its one of the reasons I call bullshit on your claim that you would oppose a deity like the Christian God if you knew it was real. Being tortured for all eternity is a lot scarier than potentially being killed by a Muslim and you have admitted you would throw your conviction of opposing concentration camps out the window if you got scared enough.

Speaking of extremism, can we both agree that Christians/Muslims approving of their texts saying that all, say, Hindus (basically non-believers) deserve nothing more than brutal torture in hell, no matter how ethical they might be, is EXTREME EXTREMISM, ArmySoldier?

No, we cannot agree. I tend to disagree with radicals.

It seems that "Radical Muslims" are simply Muslims who follow the Islamic texts (and Mohammad's example) more closely, more as written. They believe what those texts say more than the "moderate" Muslim does. They believe it says what it means, and means what it says. They believe strongly that it's the word of their all-knowing god - not to be taken lightly. It SAYS kill non-believers so they of course oblige.

The "moderate" Muslims are simply the ones who don't take those texts (and Mo's example) as seriously.....yet. So "more Islam" is not desirable for the world, and "less Islam" is better for the world.

So then you tend to disagree with God/Jesus who was so radical that, according to John 14:6, no Muslims can get into his "heaven", so are therefore stuck (no matter how ethical they might be!) burning in his barbaric "lake of fire" (that he steadfastly refuses to shut down)? If not, then YOU are the radical.

I disagree with how you and islamic radicals align yourselves with religious texts. Funny how you condemn them yet use their same argument

You ignore once again that in the context of the Bible, God defines what is objectively ethical.

You bring up a great question: "IF THE BIBLE WAS TRUE WOULD I CHOOSE TO BECOME A CHRISTIAN"?
If The Bible was true that would mean that all Muslims, all gays, all Jews, all Hindus, etc. would be BURNED ALIVE by their barbaric excuse for a "god" in his barbaric "lake of fire" - a sadistic monster. That would mean that god would have killed first-born sons, committed a genocidal flood, genocide Amalekites, etc. So that would mean that my new-found religion would be incredibly IMMORAL. So a better question would be "if a religion was true AND immoral, would you join that religion?" I'd answer "no" to that question, of course. If Hitler was actually a true god, I still would NOT join him, not worship him....ever. See where I'm coming from?

And I call bullshit on that. I call bullshit on the idea that you are less afraid of eternal torture than being killed by Muslims. We already know that fear of being killed by Muslims will make you throw away your supposed hatred of concentration camps. What conviction would the far scarier prospect of eternal torture get you to throw away?

Putting innocent people in concentration camps is immoral, yet you would support that immorality if you were scared enough. See why I don’t believe your claim?

Yes, and he's a monster, a barbarian, a vile excuse for an ethical being. Far far below me, ethically. Not what's best for the world.

The Bible teaches that one gets "blessed" by god for smashing babies heads against rocks! Stop and think about the barbarity of the average Bible-believer, then. Did Hitler even do that? Saddam? Or are Hitler/Saddam even better than the "all-loving" role model that Christians worship?
"How blessed will be the one who grabs your babies and smashes them on a rock!" - Psalm 137:9 (NET Bible) http://biblehub.com/net/psalms/137.htm

The barbarity that you constantly defend/deflect is beyond comprehension.

When I get a courtroom-level of evidence for this "hell" of which you speak, then and only then will I consider it any more real than, say, Narnia, or Neverland, or Middle Earth, or Hogwarts, etc. Until then, I don't fear "hell". Not. One. Little. Bit!

If the Bible is true, you are objectively wrong. You would objectively be far below the Christian god. You would objectively be the wrong thing for the world.

You ignore that context when talking about the Bible if you are going to suppose it is true.
