    I don't understand why would a republican who's for tough immigration policy complain that Obama was being tough in that aspect?

    They were separated under Obama that's why his administration was sued and the supreme court said he had to return the children

    Republicans hit Obama on a lot of things he did that didn't follow their policies but a tough stance on immigrats is in their wheelhouse so of course they can't sell to their voters that Obama was too tough on immigration lol that's why a lot of their voters vote Republican

    Talk is cheap and Trump is good at cheap talk. A wall with Mexico paying for it. His friend to build the wall even though he was judged unqualified by the army Corps of Engineers, no due diligence about a wall, separating families and poor conditions, lack of immigration judges and other staff, blaming everyone but his inept self for the situation at the border. His chaotic management style is on full display at the border. The outrage by "leftists" and others is justified.

    A federal judge in California has ruled that the Obama administration’s detention of children and their mothers who were caught crossing the border illegally is a serious violation of a longstanding court settlement, and that the families should be released as quickly as possible.

    If you'd read the article from ny times you'd see that this issue isn't about the president (Obama, Trump) it's about congress not doing their jobs

    Yes. He didn’t just take their names and then release them into the country like Obama did, which is basically an open border. And hope they all show up at a hearing...hahahahaha?

    And the numbers hitting our borders are unprecedented now compared to back then. You can thank Democrat policy for that, promising them freebies, drivers licenses, free healthcare and schooling. No wonder they’re crawling over each other just to spend some time in our concentration camps:)
