Regardless of your personal view of Trump (I was NOT a Trump voter in the primaries) he has been set up by powerful people in the intelligence sector and FBI/DOJ to take the focus off Hillary and remove him from office.

I would suggest checking Mueller's track record if you think he is some honorable shining white knight and this isn't an integrity contest
    between the two men anyway.

The Russian thing was a bust so now Mueller and his boys are on to the next thing to see if they can get to Trump somehow.

I understand your dislike of Trump and I realize you play an obnoxious troll at PF but I'm sure if you look at the good Trump has done for the country you might come to at least tolerate him, as I have. He's already won.
The left has lost their minds trying to remove him and some liberals have noted this.

    One and the same.

“Specifically, FOIA staff consulted with knowledgeable subject matter experts in the Office of Intelligence. Those experts confirmed that, as is typical in proceedings before the FISC, no hearings were held with respect to the acknowledged Carter Page FISA applications, and thus no responsive transcripts exist.”

I do not think the Russian thing is a bust at all. Trump has been mixed up with these Russian Money launderers for decades in his real estate dealings. I want to see the result of this investigation, after all I helped pay for it. As far as all the great things that Trump has done I am not seeing it. He gave a huge tax cut to corporations and billionaires and a little chump change to the rest of us meanwhile exploding the deficit. As far as illegal immigration, I haven't seen any significant changes. All hollow rhetoric so far. And of course the stock market is going to spike after his deregulation programs allowing the bankswindlers to run amok again. Didn't we just see that movie between 2002-2008? How did that turn out? He has not started any idiotic shooting wars like scumbags Cheney/Bush. I will give him that.

Irrelevant. If the FBI says, they have verified the “fact”, should not they be trusted by the courts? They are, after all, should be trusted, right?

And they are trusted by the courts.........get it yet? You are most welcome.

Hey, can any of you Judicial Watch devotees explain why a hearing is magically required for ex parte requests?

    Didn’t think so

    https://www.stanfordlawreview.org/o...nce-surveillance-court-really-a-rubber-stamp/
FISA seems to have screwed the pooch (excuse the legal terminology) in terms of it's rubber stamp reputation, which is well earned
(99.97% approval rate and, no, that's not a typo) and in terms of a court which issued permission to spy on Carter Page without
any hearing on the matter at all. https://www.conservativedailynews.c...o-fisa-court-hearing-for-carter-page-warrant/

Since Judicial Watch was the group that discovered this shocking lack of transparency and a total lack of judicial propriety
I can see why some leftists dislike JW so much.

If you have any other LOLs....let me know. I assume the court has a duty
to have both parties informed or on hand when a request to spy is
granted considering who is being spied on. It would be nice if at least
one other opinion or point of view was considered.

But maybe the FISA court operates on a completely separate track from the rest of our judicial system.
It seems like they do considering their rate of granting warrants for nearly anything to anyone.

Point out where any request for a warrant requires a “hearing”, let alone in a FISA court.

Do you suppose that a person suspected of being a drug courier should receive notice of a request for a warrant to surveil him before surveillance can be carried out? It’s inherently silly.

    LOL!

Uh, no. Can you find any legal authority for such a silly proposition? Cute chapter and verse, pronto.

Are you possibly claiming a warrant for anything requested by anyone requires no review, no contrary information or input at all?
Are you sure you aren't speaking of King John's England rather than the United States of America in 2016?

I quoted the Fourth Amendment, you may find it a page or two back. Educate yourself on our civic laws, since everyone wants to claim Trump breaks them so much. You simply cannot get a warrant by asking for it. You have to appeal your case to a judge, which is a hearing. And when you do get a warrant granted, you inform the person that they have a search(or arrest) warrant.

FISA violates the 4th Amendment of the Constitution, and since the 'hearing' didn't take place, it's even more of a violation of the 4th Amendment.

This is a Constitutional matter involving the President of the United States of America and not some two bit drug dealer.

Do you not recognize a distinction?

Quote the entire 4th Amendment. It
Oh, I know the law. You plainly can’t grasp that the 4th Amendment specifically refers to the standard for obtaining a warrant, and it says nothing about requiring a hearing or notice beforehand. There’s no case law stating that, either. Get a grip, Rush.

    err huh?

Point out any authority for the insane notion that a president is entitled to notice of a FISA application.

More likely to be as result of CORRUPT Trump/GOP subverting the rule of law and freedom to save their ruble owned arses.......they want to use the Russian kleptocracy model for America while ensuring their ability to avoid incarceration. Don't fall for while it hides behind culture wars......that the cover to get you to compromise the rights & freedoms of some folk thinking the other majority folk will be immune from those very loss of rights and freedoms.

    Cheers ;).
