It would be helpful if Zelensky came out and admitted the obvious, but it's really not a linchpin of the case from the American viewpoint... he's basically the victim here, along with anybody who died while the aid was withheld..

If Zelensky didn't equate the favor with Trump withholding his aid, he's probably not equipped to be playing in the deep end of the pool...

Zelensky's knowledge or lack thereof isn't proof or exculpation of Trump's actions and intent, which is all that matters to Congress....
