I did read the post. Ignorant sloganeering. Par for the course.

....or America, which is the closest market. Don't need a pipeline all the way to the Gulf to do that.

What do electric cars "winning" - have to do with the question of where we are going to get 20 million barrels of Crude/per/day from ? - Next Year and the Year after .. and how we do this in the most enviro friendly way - along with getting to electric in the most enviro friendly way ?

This Pipeline stance of Biden is pure politics- its dumb and dumber on steroids - anti science - anti environment - anti economy - anti electric cars.

True. And, that is certainly an issue.

i was pointing to the gas tax on electric vehicles - $0.

Of course there still has to be a revenue stream for roads. So, something will have to change.

We should not have to trade. Those are people who lost jobs and are now struggling because Biden decided he did not care about them.

When Trump lost those carrier jobs you all were complaining about it but when Biden loses jobs it's no big deal. Double standard.

It made no sense to remove the Keystone Pipeline but keep the rest of them.

I suggest we get it from where we already get it today.

And, I suggest that we work on needing less than that - which happens as we move toward electric cars, for one example.

As for electricity, almost none of our electricity comes from oil powered plants. Today, the decrease in coal powered electric plants is pretty evenly matched with the growth in natural gas powered electricity.

And, our total growth in electricity demand is the same as the growth in renewable energy. Analysis of the marketdoesn't seem to indicate that we need any more fossil plants that produce electricity. However, it is at least some improvement to see gas displace coal.

Today, the single leading fuel used for electric generation in Iowa is WIND. That was a result of free market choices.

Also, the upside potential in renewable energy is gigantic. Roof top solar has improved to the point where it is a clear win. Electricity as a fuel for cars is a financial win, too.

If you are interested in jobs, consider the wind and solar farms being built and the labor required for adding solar to all the rooftops in America.

When Trump lost those carrier jobs you all made It seem like you were upset over losing jobs but this proves it was fake outrage to hate on Trump.

The Democrats don't care about jobs at all or the people out of work now. Sad.

Trump made a captain promise to save carrier jobs

Biden made no promises about keystone

the keystone pipeline kills more jobs than it creates

how about repubs trade a Green New Deal project for keystone...

Trump came in and undid much of the Obama\Biden legacy - now Biden is doing the same to Trump

Pipelines are safe. Over 300,000 miles of pipeline in the US are used to transport oil and the first such use dates to 1862.

I take it Canadian liberals are no longer feeling the love for US liberals. Too bad, so sad.

It's no longer about that, they don't care about that, the pipeline is EVIL and must be destroyed. All the trees and blades of grasses are feeling sad because the pipeline is invading their land and they must be respected. There are people buried miles away who are now disturbed and can no longer have their eternal peace because of the EVIL pipeline.

So let's have thousands of acres of solar panels and noisy wind mills on those lands instead. Whataya say?

States are poised to start applying road use taxes on them. Taxes on the batteries and/or excise taxes on any tires going on an electric or hybrid. About time they were fairly taxed.

Owners of agricultural land from Texas to North Dakota are expressing serious interest in having an additional source of revenue from wind turbines.

And, I think they are the ones you would need to ask - right?

Clean energy is coming. And, it is coming because of sound capitalist economic principles.

And, it is bringing more jobs than some pipline ever could.

    I like that idea!

If this actually IS about jobs, then surely more jobs can be found in clean energy.

For one thing, XL is "one and done". With clean energy, there is a nearly endless amount of work that would pay for itself.

The existing pipeline is not useless, Biden killed approval for phase 4 of the pipeline which is a new leg connection to the existing pipeline. This proposed leg would have just added more volume, the existing keystone pipeline from Canada to the Gulf of Mexico is already built and in operation for years at this point. They are not turning off the existing keystone pipeline from Alberta to Nederland/Houston.

The framing by the media on the subject is true but misleading.
