Where were you during the 1950's ?

Of course blacks are better off today than they were back in the 1950's.
But back in the 1950's blacks weren't killing each other.
Their neighborhoods and homes were safer during the 50's.
All black children knew who their fathers were and every black home had a father and mother.
But when the leftist community organisers appeared during the 1960's that all changed.

Now younger blacks who agitate and cause trouble today don't even know what they are talking about.
They don't even know their own history because they have been indoctrinated in PC revisionist history.

I'm of the baby boomer generation.

But I remember while growing up those kids who were eight or ten or so years older than I wishing I was just 8 years older.

They were known as the "Luckiest Generation"
Not because they were to young to have fought during WW ll or the Korean War but to old to be sent to Vietnam.

Even though there are more military veterans from the Luckiest Generation than the Baby Boomer Generation.
If you were of the Luckiest Generation of military age if you didn't enlist you were more likely to have been drafted into the Army and sent to Germany.

But the real reason why that generation is called the Luckiest Generation was back when America was great.

You'll see why. Immigration was kept low from between 100,000 to 200,000 tops per year which meant well paying jobs for everyone including high school students. Even during the 1950's it was pretty hard to find a black man who wasn't working.

Food stamps were started in the 1930's. Disappeared in the 50's but came back as it was obviously needed. The federal government subsidized and mandated welfare, even more so than today. Of course southern states kept it away from black people, much like the vote and proper schools.

If you think those decades were so awesome for everyone, you are looking through some rose colored glasses.

To be fair to the left, from what I've heard, they admit that society has moved on and is in a much better place post slavery, but they still have a terribly negative and dark outlook on society and still believe that it is fundamentally racist.

Yeah, the left have certainly degraded the meaning of the word to the point that people don't take the subject of ACTUAL racism as seriously as they should. This is the left's doing.

 

I find this to have more sinister underpinnings.

As you've noticed the left as it were is doing everything in their power to make people believe that the country is racist and I think this is to keep certain groups in line and dependent on the Democrat platform.

If you feel like there is a Boogeyman around every corner that's just waiting to get you you feel like you need to the government more to protect you from the boogeyman when in all reality The Boogeyman when it existed was the government.

This is how Jesse Jackson and Reverend Sharpton stay in business they fabricate events and sell themselves as the only thing or the major thing stopping this from happening to you.

Well they have degraded and quite a few words the one that seems to be the most degraded is the word phobia and you can slap any adjectives you want on the front of it.

And this is an effort to silence you as well so don't let them.

If you know you're not racist then you have nothing to defend yourself against.

Basically what I'm saying is whenever someone suggest you were racist or somebody else's racist laugh at them they're just doing it because they have no argument.

I was responding to the charge that we had multiple imperialistic wars in our history and the historical record will show that we had two. One being the Mexican and the other being the Spanish American War. Those are wars from which we gained territory.
