It's not irrelevant, and is a direct answer to your last sentence in the OP.

If you don't remember what you wrote while trying to maintain your "i hate america" theme, go re-read it.

Yep, this was all better in the same way that herpes is better than chlymidia.

Reread it. Never said I hate America. Your point is nonexistent.

    That's right.

The US, like every country in the world, participated in the African's selling their own people into slavery.

The US, thanks to it's founders foresight, laid the framework to break from those old world beliefs that recognized freedom for all.

And today, in 2018, the US fights against slavery while Africa, the ME, and much of Asia still has a slave trade.

America, both today and during the global slave trade, is a better country than any of the others.

Saying everyone did it too is just a lazy cop out excuse, so I’m not impressed.

The founders foresight only worked for whites, white men specifically so they honestly couldn’t care less about nonwhite rights, especially those of the natives since they helped kill lots of them.

No, it's not. Culture is as culture does.

No, the founders foresight worked for all, which is why other white men freed the slaves, and we no longer have slavery.

Yes those evil white men. Strange that of all the countries in the world that have eradicated slavery, all of them are predominately white.

Meanwhile, the slave trade in Africa, the ME, and Asia is still going strong.

I see. You know I'm right but you really don't like it.

I understand, it does embarrass your narrative.

So well that the native tribes lost almost everything, the country was nearly split in two, voting was limited to whites and blacks were finally considered people. All a whole century and a half later and with millions of deaths at the hands of white folks. Thanks guys:roll:

Why do some folks need to obsess over those they designate as "leftists"?

Yes, and much faster than the rest of the world.

Mauritania in Africa, for example, didn't officially end slavery until 1980 but that's only officially. They still engage in slavery.

It wasn't until 2007 that they passed a law to punish slavery.

What I see is that you can't debate your "point" because you don't have the ability to do so.

The rest of the world huh? No less than 14 countries abolished slavery before we did.

    https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Timeline_of_abolition_of_slavery_and_serfdom

Cool. So since white people are much more enlightened, what are they doing to fix slavery there?

Yeah I don't think you read that right.

Thomas Jefferson called for the abolition of slavery in 1806, and importation/exportation banned in 1808.

There were many acts and passages regarding slavery, but it was normally for one group, or a city, or whatever. It wasn't a total ban on slavery for any country in the world at that time.

But please, keep telling us how America, who participated in the global slave trade less than anywhere else, is horrible.

You didn't state anything, you took a weak stance and said "everything" because you have "nothing".

I’ve said it multiple times in this thread. If you didn’t catch it then that’s not my fault.

Calling for abolition =/= actual abolition

Most of the evil white man countries all banned slavery within the same 15-20 year time span, and those same countries are the largest proponents of freedom today.

The rest of the earth not so much.

It was indeed the founders of this country who laid the foundation for the end of the global slave trade and wiped it out.

Then you have Africa, the ME, and Asia which still happily engages in the slave trade.

Oh I know, I mean look at how much slavery Africa, Asia, and the ME still has.

Weird how all the predominately white countries have eradicated it though, huh?

There are more people being trafficked TODAY as there were at the height of the world wide slave trade.

And many of those abolitions came well before the US and in countries that weren’t white either like say, Haiti or Hawaii or Chile.
