Says a lot about Kelly's character that he would reach back in time to cut her over what Trump said to Sgt. Johnson's widow.

If you have no problem with the callous disregard of a President telling the family of a fallen soldier " He knew what he signed up for" that's on you

The fact that Trump lied about saying it means HE knew he was wrong and the fact that he then called the family liars is despicable

I think that he was walking a fine line between Trump and the Trump's response.

Absolutely. To think that someone who has called the WH a dump because he needs his gold plated toilet seat, and who wiggled out of service because of a bone spur and because he needed to do some more womanizing actually has empathy for our troops is delusional. He and his family wouldn't be caught dead going without a shower for a few days, let alone doing something that doesn't only serve themselves. Maybe Don Jr. could have signed up, or Eric. But, no, they are too busy hunting endangered animals and living the elite trust fund baby lifestyle to think about serving. Military is only for the poor who need the money, not the elite. That's Trump's mindset. Look at his behavior, not his words. His behavior is a dead giveway.

Not at all liberal, my friend. True Republican logic. The guy has no empathy or compassion in his body, and he has exhibited this during his whole adult life. Read books about him when he was in the real world.

For a thrill, Eric cut the tail off a baby elephant. What a guy! A chip off the old block. He should spend some time in jail with Bubba,
who will give Eric's tail a good workout, yes? Pig

The congresswoman tried to slime Trump and she ended up looking like a cheap political opportunist.

Walk up to a grieving soldier's father in a bar and tell him "Your son knew what he was getting into when he signed up" and see if you don't walk away with a broken nose...

!st Trump didn't attack anyone, that you take a simple comparison as an attack says more about you than about trump, And of course the day CNN presents facts as far as Trump is concerned will be the first time.

Depends on what comes after. The fact that all you are getting is one snippet out of the conversation and that these two are the epitome of Democrat hacks should tell you all you need to know about how false this story is.

Well I expect to be lied to by Washington. Trump is just worse at it then most. I did not vote for the man. Also the only thing I have really approved of is his Supreme Court choice. As to immigration my views and the Republicans are very different.

No on this issue I am keeping an open mind and I kind of see where Trump was coming from. Yes he did not need to put his hand into that hornets nest. Yes he bungled one of the difficult calls. But I am going to give him the benefit of the doubt and say this is the first time people have actually died under his watch through violence and that he felt some kind of responsibility. As such I also want to promote this kind of behavior in him. If he is rewarded for good behavior perhaps he will keep doing it. And feeling responsible for those under his overall charge is a good behavior.

    Thats really stupid

What did the father say first?

Did the father accuse someone - you for instance - of murdering his son?

If the father has a room temperture IQ and is in your face you might remind him that his son wanted to fight for his country

You have to know the full content of the conversation before you can judge one sentence in it. If for instance his widow said he told me this was dangerous and to be prepared for the worst and then Trump said yep, these guys know what they signed up for, where's the problem?

According to Trump, he did not say those reported words and those in the car "totally fabricated" the allegations. Anyway, was Kelly there when Trump made the conversation

She didn't try to slime Trump. She absolutely did slime Trump, and he deserved it; just was the wrong time and place.

He tried to express his condolences and he got slammed for it by people just trying to score political points. To hell with that. He won't be calling anyone again.

It just takes one nasty person in the crowd to ruin it for everyone.

He was trying to score political points by bragging about calling families when he hadn't done so, then lying that previous presidents didn't do it, and then finally doing a half-a**ed job when he actually set down and did it. He deserved everything.

As President he should have acknowledged that his words were misunderstood instead of publicly embarrassing your country again and accusing Wilson and the family of lying - who had more to lose, Trump or Wilson?

Nobody was trying to score points. It is a good idea that he doesn't call anybody again, since he doesn't care. VP Pence has a much better bedside manner.
