I see the word "RINO" applied far more often to traditional freemarket/capitalist Republicans. The current Republican party seems to favor more government intervention in economics, not less, in the form of protectionism.

Asking you to back up your claim is not a fallacy of false equivalency

Who exactly has claimed they would like to limit free speech if given the chance besides this idiot, Ted Lieu? Be specific.

I already stated that violence is not a valid form of free speech. Preaching to the choir there.
Protests are supposed to cause a disturbance. That’s their point. And protests are considered free speech. While considering that, private businesses and venues are within their right to remove unwanted people from their property. That includes people exercising their freedom of speech.

Why did you put think in quotation marks. Why the added emphasis? Should he have used a different word? Do you think the thought was disingenuous?

You have proof that his words speak for anyone other than himself?

Like who and from whom? I mean, John McCain was no freemarket republican, and he was the GOP nominee just 10 years ago.

Did he confirm this to you in person? Or maybe your psychic? You just latched on to the headline and now you’re willing to accept nothing other than your initial interpretation. Gather new information and let that influence your opinion. It’s how we grow.

Trump himself seems to favor more government intervention in economics, not less, in the form of protectionism. Republicans who criticize him over free trade get called RINOs, and Trump has a pretty stellar approval rating among Republicans.

I read his quote, including where he says it’s a good thing that the government does not allow him to violate people’s free speech. That’s an important part of the quote that is being ignored by people looking to be outraged here.
    Maybe I misundertoood your point?

Well, of course Trump does, he's a NY democrat. For those who really thought he was a true conservative were kidding themselves and loved his brash, take no prisoners demeanor and attitude. But just like with Trump looking to ban bump stocks, he shows his democrat side with more taxes like Tariffs.

Just not his whole word, otherwise you would have quoted the entirety of what he said.

Of course it is. You ignore the reality his first thought was that he was disappointed he couldn't regulate speech.

Go ahead, explain why he said that at all. Can't wait to watch you dance.

Thank you for finally admitting he wants to control free speech.

Of course it does. He is in a position to make law and he has stated unequivocally he would like to regulate speech.

And of course you dont have the courage or political will to announce that thought nor can you explain it.
