Yet many did to choose a life of drug use that places them there....and I see them on almost every corner with signs begging for sympathy.

What about the middle class on drugs?
    Why aren't they homeless?

Many are...though they are no longer middle class, obviously.

Because someone takes drugs doesn't mean they're automatically vagrants.
What about all the drugs taken by high income drug addicts?
The jet setting first class flying people who like to take drugs?

Nor did I say that....I am obviously pointing out the victims of illicit drug use and the Homeless population that results from it. There are also the "Homeless" that are just lazy scammers. Regardless of which I no longer give them the time of day and NEVER roll down my window.

Well, make it an exception to the rule, but, IDK, have a heart, and remember 'no one chose to be homeless' even if you don't believe it. IDK.
    It's just a thing I say.

    I say things, things like;

    • No one chose to be homeless.
    • Who doesn't want to be successful? *(rich/famous etc)...
and when I say these things, I back them up with a belief in these things, so I say it twice but in another way that reiterates the first way I said it.
I say it, and cite an opinionated example but, I still believe these things.

I'd be lying if I said I had.
I don't want it to shatter this belief, I mean, I get what you're trying to say here; life choices, addictions, no will power, people pan handling dressing up the part because they'z lazy con artists, I get it, but... I still didn't watch that video because of my believe in that no one chose to be homeless, even though I get what you're saying.

I HIGHLY recommend you take a minute to see the report as it is enlightening and that is why I posted it. If you do not wish to get information....why are you even here?

    It's not being homeless.
I mean, those who actually end up on the streets, never chose to be there.

I saw it, Salt Lake City girl does it for a job and people do it and nobody but 1 guy wanted to work for food and he got $20.00 for cutting a lawn and then the presenter dressed up and did himself for his report.
I know what you're saying, as I said, but you do think it's just addiction and a lifestyle beyond their control?
Still get it and knew what was coming.

I very clearly do not think what you say I do, and have clearly stated as much. I merely commented that drug use is a large contributor to the Problem and Opiods in particular are a BIG DEAL. Please stop putting your words in my mouth....they are foul.

People want to get high, doesn't matter if they pan handle for a living or anything else, as long as they're not robbing anybody.
Just because someone takes drugs isn't keeping them on the streets.
Take the drugs and alcohol away, they'd still be there.
