    I try, do you?

but we need tariffs to equal the playing field for the American worker

even American companies now use foreign labor

we need data protection laws to force IT to hire American vs sending all the IT jobs to India as India controlling all our data is a national security risk

They won't take the job unless there is genuine job security. California has a law that says teachers have to be laid off based on reverse seniority. That helps a little, but doesn't provide the job security someone who loses their skills every year they teach unless the do a lot of personal study.

I'll try again. What evidence should be required that folk are doing that adjustment? Keeping in mind that sitting at home waiting for things to get better is the opposite of adjustment.

Frankly, this is unrealistic. People can't wait until their 30s to begin a family.
No, it isn't "the way it was always handled in the past." Family units were formed at younger ages.

How about making sure they have a realistic chance to start a family in their mid-20s?

They're not adjusting to anything because they don't take the job in the first place.

    Nice fantasy.

WTF? What does anything I talked about have to do with babies? I said UNDER 30. Nothing at all wrong with being at home til 24/25/26/27, then marrying and starting a family. Why you think that's too late is unknown. Very strange.

It's no fantasy. That was the reality then.

And it absolutely isn't the reality today. No theory can contend with the wholesale apathy and abdication from personal responsibility that is the 21stC First World human.

Healthier babies, younger parents. I taught high school students and (mostly) younger adults for decades.

We need to fix the way the way our economic system works (not socialize it) so younger adults have more opportunity, access to housing, and so on.

    Under thirty IS younger parents.

Agree that we definitely need to fix the 'economic system'. Parents need to be more responsible before breeding, and ensure they can a) secure a a family home so the kids will have rent free accommodation up to age 30, and b) raise those kids to have a solid work ethic and a highly developed sense of personal responsibility.

That's where 'access to housing and so on' comes from. The family. Families ARE society, so if there's a collapse of economic power in your society, it means that families are not doing what they're supposed to do.

so if they can't afford a baby, they should abort?

If they can't afford a baby they shouldn't make one.

I don't want chocolate cake today, so I'm not going to make one. How incredible is that! Who knew that a lowly female could have so much power and autonomy! Then again, maybe I shouldn't try to have that much power and autonomy. Gosh, do you think I should ask my husband first? I mean, maybe he wants chocolate cake and will force me to bake one? Can you help me out here? I don't have the sense or power to make the decision not to bake.

Killing a baby is the 'best' option? Like me baking a chocolate cake then throwing it in the bin because I didn't really want it, but had to bake it because my husband really really wanted me to bake, and like .. he's the total boss of me .. because I'm just a girl?

Except of course, binning a chocolate cake is about five trillion time less horrible than killing a baby you could have avoided creating.

They should adopt, if the baby will be in demand.

And there's a long list of prospective adoption parents waiting to adopt healthy normal white babies.
When there's a wonderful loving family waiting to adopt, I can't understand why the woman should want to abort.

That's not giving my approval for abortion when the baby is in an "unwanted" category, but it is something we should think about, and a strong argument you would have to argue against.

maybe they do not like the idea of creating a baby and giving it away to maybe a sexual molester or who knows what, many could never do that

yep, it's no different, if you decide you don't want a cake, you can toss the ingredients, it's not a cake at that point, so that is an option

you could also finish baking the cake and give it away, but it's your choice

women toss their eggs and sperm in a condom often goes in the trash or toilet (ingredients)

Good news just in, Moms are losing weight running hot pockets and laundry up and down the basement stairs to their little darlings.
