Despite working relentlessly, ("I would not be a president who took vacations. I would not be a president that takes time off!”) Trump has failed to get passed a single piece of major legislation, but it's amusing to see his cult pretend otherwise.

"I'll instruct the Treasury Secretary to label China a currency manipulator!" It must lose something in the translation.

“One of my first acts as president will be to establish a commission on radical Islam!" Is Trump® U running that scam?

No "big, beautiful wall." No "immediate!" repeal of 'ObamaCare'. No "something terrific!" Trump®Care that covers "everybody!"

While we await his investigators imminent return from Hawaii (“I have people that actually have been studying it and they cannot believe what they’re finding!”) he will, no doubt, release his promised tax returns any day now.

"Immediately add an additional federal investment of $20 billion towards school choice!" Hey, big spender, where's that chump change?

"I'll balance the federal budget fairly quickly!" Is that in geological time?

"We're cutting Common Core! We're getting rid of Common Core! We're bringing education locally!" No, he's not.

His solution for Syrian refugees? “Take a big piece of land in Syria and they have plenty of land, believe me. Build a safe zone for all these people, because I have a heart, I mean these people, it’s horrible to watch, But, they shouldn’t come over here. We should build a safe zone!” That "safe zone" remains at the same stage as his "big, beautiful wall!" Maybe, he thinks Mexico is paying for it, too.

"If I'm elected president, I will push for a constitutional amendment to impose term limits on all members of Congress!" Given that he's done bupkis on that one, no one can accuse him of being too "pushy."

“One of the first things I’d do in terms of executive order, if I win, will be to sign a strong, strong statement that would go out to the country, out to the world, that anybody killing a police man, a police woman, a police officer, anybody killing a police officer, the death penalty is going to happen!” Never mind.

“I will ask, to appoint a special prosecutor. We have to investigate Hillary Clinton, and we have to investigate the investigation.” It appears that special prosecutors have much more promising prey in their sights, Bunky.

“I’m not going to cut Social Security like every other Republican and I’m not going to cut Medicare or Medicaid!” Not if the piece of crap you were flailing the pom poms for doesn't pass, you're not.

"We are going to ask every department head and government to provide a list of wasteful spending projects that we can eliminate in my first 100 days!" They're still laughing at that one.

"I'm going to open up our libel laws so when they write purposely negative and horrible and false articles, we can sue them and win lots of money!” More poo-poo.

The multi-nation accord to arrest Iran's nuclear development programme? “This deal if I win will be a totally different deal. This will be a totally different deal!" Forget it.

The only socially redeeming aspect of the pudenda-grabber is that he has been so impotent in honouring his many fake vows.

The veterans bill was a huge piece of legislation.

 

The vast majority of that legislation is either ceremonial or was passed through the "Congressional Review Act", which has rolled back a lot of Obama-era regulations. Only 2 pieces of legislation actually enact new policy.

Meanwhile, Trumpcare is dead. Obamacare still lives. The Congress now has less then 30 days to attempt to pass the same bill via reconciliation - and that is not going to happen. Those are reconciliation rules that were conceived and enacted by a Republican controlled congress a number of years back. Too many on the Right say the Trumpcare crap doesn't go far enough, the moderates in the GOP say it goes too far, and the Democrats will hate it until all eternity, and rightfully so, because it's one big turdball that we do not need. Trump promised on the campaign trail that he would eliminate Obamacare on Day 1. That was, of course, a lie, but it's ok to lie if you are a Republican, eh? Just like promising to release his tax returns and then not doing it. Also a lie.

The tax-package has STILL not happened, in spite of the fact that a budget should be passed. When it does pass, in whichever form, the 1% will get extra billions, the middle class will get between 50-100 dollars a year and will then realize they go screwed.

The Veterans bill that the President signed actually screws the veterans over and just wait and see how they will react when they realize what a dud they got.

He pulled us, shamefully, out of the Paris accords, but the actual exit will be late Fall 2020. Other countries will no longer trust us to keep our word, since he so shamefully reneged, purely for political gain with his "base".

Pres. Trump will likely destroy NAFTA, which will then destroy trade with both Mexico and Canada, neither of which will trust us anymore and will simply trade elsewhere, leading to a massive trade problem here and then rising prices and then, at the end of the day, lost jobs. All of this waiting catastrophe will sit squarely on his shoulders for being too stupid to know how to actually negotiate a deal.

Mexico is never, ever going to pay for a wall on the Southern border. There is no way that the President can even try to extort money out of Mexico for it. But what this really COULD lead to would be a secret non-agression pact between Mexico and Russia and one day, due to Trump's shortsightedness, we may even see russian troops stationed at the Mexican border. What kind of megalomaniac idiot openly bullies another sovereign nation and brashly claims that he is going to force them to pay for a wall he wants put in place in order to humiliate them? This is the stuff of psycho-novels and has no real place in US-American discourse. And that doesn't even account for the many hundreds and hundreds of miles along the border where you cannot even physically build a wall, since the border goes over water. And then there is the problem with eminent domain: you are going to have to confiscate some private property in order to build parts of the wall as well. At least the Bush administration was smart enough to realize this and the Obama administration noted this all along, but no, Pres. Trump is simply not the brightest bulb on the tree, he still doesn't get it. We know now that he literally BEGGED Pena to help pay for the wall, said to Pena that the wall was "the least important thing" but that he needed it politically. What a chump. And then there is the fact that 60% of illegal immigrants who are here didn't even come over the southern border: they come by plane or boat from elsewhere, land or disembark at other points of entry into the USA and simply overstay their visas.

The only thing that Pres. Trump has done sucessfully has been to develop, encourage and grow a climate of utter hate toward minorities, especially but not limited to Latinos, which has emboldened American neo-nazis and klanners to come out of their holes and spew their hatred. For this achievement, Trump can claim credit. And when voters sweep the GOP out of power for it, just remember, this is Trump's achievement. What he just did with the DREAMers, the cruelest and most cynical move of his to-date, proves this very point.

and btw, why not ask West Virginians where those new coal mines are? I mean, Trump took credit for anything even remotely positive (jobs reports which is blasted as false news while a candidate, stock market, etc) within 2 weeks of assuming the presidency, so the question is valid. Where are those glorious coal mines that he promised? Oh wait, there are no new coal mines, only a small one that was opened based on a permit given under the Obama administration.... in less than 2 years, West Virginians are going to realize that they too got a royal snowjob from Trump.

And the rust belt polls, where are the actual topic of this thread, will be followed by more good solid polling showing him tanking in pretty much all of the battleground states, including Ohio.

 

Or were denied the right to vote because the voting rolls were "rigged" by the Russian hackers.

Since no one knows how many people that happened to it could have totaled the amount needed to swing those 3 states.

The question they will NEVER ask if whether anyone would change their vote from Trump to Clinton if they could vote again.

Elections were rigged by "the intelligence community" because Hilary Clinton was do volatile, so much a loose cannon on the deck and so dangerous with her literally promising to go to war against Russia - a shooting war - they could not allow her to become president. It was easily to bully Trump into giving up pursuit of detente' with Russia than stopping Hilary Clinton ordering our military to attack the Russian military as she repeatedly promised to do over Syria.
