Yes . All things considered it's better for the country to hold a fair trial . Because otherwise it will send a dangerous massage to the future trials and it's not good . I admit that democrats sort of pushed this process but anyway let's have a thorough trial to see who lied .

 

How about a fair investigation and actual high crimes or misdemeanors?

 

Bottom line is that none of these matter if Trump innocence would be proven and and if he is guilty then he should be out of office by whatever process.

So what i don't understand is why Zelenski can state MANY times that there was no pressure put on him, and this continues on. It's like me saying that someone told me you raped suzy. so i tell everyone you raped suzy. McConnell has joined with Trump, Barr, Giuliani, Sondland, Jordan & others to undermine the Constitution of the U.S., & impose their form of authoritative government in its place. Members of the Republican Party have bought into their numerous "hatreds" of mostly good things around them, & are supporting anything & everything their leaders tell them to--without question. This exemplifies a form of anti-Americanism I've never witnessed in America by Americans ever before in my lifetime. It poses a genuine threat to America & every ideal it has ever stood for since its inception.

McConnell's political maneuverings regarding the impeachment process, are all designed to ignore the Constitution & impose his personal political will & that of Trump himself, over & above that Constitution, as if it no longer had value, or simply didn't exist. McConnell is politicizing a process that is supposed to be based on facts as presented by evidence. That evidence is certainly there--in waves--but for McConnell & other Republicans, who hate government & are willing to do anything, even break their solemn oaths of office, to destroy government, that evidence is simply a challenge to them & their authority & something that must be eliminated altogether. They accomplish that by inventing lies that demean, disarm, or devalue that evidence in the eyes of public opinion. This is easy to accomplish with a gullible public. Their every success is one more danger to the survival of our human rights guaranteed for so long by our Constitution. When that document is totally dishonored & disregarded, these Republicans will be able to impose their wills & every whim over us, & we will have no recourse to use in fighting back.

The only way that we can have a fair trial is for all the Senators to recuse themselves due because they cannot be impartial in their decision if Trump is guilty or not. If your Senator tells you otherwise you should consider not voting for them because "They just lied to you".
