Medical Science baffled by Africa's low Covid-19 death rates.

It is the scientific medical community that created this as current news. I read several news items on it and reported it here. Odd that we who think we lead the world in everything good in the case of COVID we also lead it in something bad, in both our total cases and our mortality from the virus and Africa leads it in the least deaths thus far, something no one could have predicted.

 

~ Africa is exposed to so many different types of viruses they may indeed have stronger immunity ...

 

So does Brazil. Give it a few months and it will be a race between India & Brazil for most deaths. Yet another success for HCQ.

 

And another medical study just said it is ineffective in treating Covid causes more harm than good as it drives up liver enzymes.

 

Africa is made up of 54 countries and each has suffered forever from one disease or another, I imagine they all have very well developed immune systems. Americans traveling to Africa are advised to be immunized before going. I have friends from South Africa, Afrikaners, who came here to escape the turmoil there and have lived here for some time. Early on their health was robust and never had colds or the flu but after a few decades their immunity is on par with ours and they suffer the same things we do. Another friend who is from India and also moved here some time ago, has told me he dreads going home for a visit because he always gets sick. He grew up in what used to be Bombay and he explained that sanitation there is very poor. He also has lost his home immunity. It would pay to try to discover what it is that makes Africa's rates so low. I'm sure youth and diet play a big part but if there is something their about immune system that contributes to their low mortality rate the rest of the world might benefit in knowing.

 

~ Brazil has never used Hydroxychloroquine prophylaxis. They were using it as treatment for Wuhan virus - but not at the onset - with unsatisfactory results. India has used it primarily for healthcare workers.

 

Certain people would like to see such data suppressed.
