    .....AOC

Impressive woman to run against AOC who is only polling 13% for reelection in her district.

So quick quotes full article worth the read

"According to New York businesswoman and congressional hopeful Scherie Murray, there’s a “crisis” in New York’s 14th congressional district— and she says “it’s called AOC.”

“She isn’t worried about us — she’s worried about being famous,” Murray wrote when announcing her campaign on Twitter on July 17. “She thinks public service is not about serving the public, but herself. If you think you deserve better, then you’re just like me.”

“...Your representative in Washington chooses self-promotion over service, conflict over constituents, and resistance over assistance,” Murray’s voice booms over her introductory campaign video.

While she says AOC is turning away jobs for local New Yorkers, Murray promises she will create economic opportunities, implement comprehensive immigration reform and focus on education and infrastructure.

“You deserve someone fighting for you, not fighting for the limelight. Bridges are about connecting us and getting us where we need to go.”

I don't think anyone seriously believes Ocasio-Cortez is polling just 13% in her district. There's something fishy about that number in a district that's two-thirds Democratic.

The primary for her seat is nine months away. It will be interesting to see if she has a challenger in her own party.

She did make an incredibly boneheaded move and justified it with an absurd excuse.

When David Duke, the KKK leader, won Republican primaries in Louisiana, the Republican leadership supported the Democrat in the final election. Mainstream Democrats should undertake a similar act in New York, but the Republicans should put up a candidate whom Democrats can support. Or, better, both mainstream Republicans and Democrats should support an independent candidate in all elections where the incumbent main party candidate is an extremist.

Maybe they only polled American citizens in English who aren't on welfare ?

47% of the people living in the N.Y. 14th congressional district aren't even native born Americans.
It's like a east coast California.

Her voters are seeing who and what they actually voted for and apparently they don't like what they see.

If you read his Wiki biography, you learn some extraordinary things. My favorite:
But the really interesting part is how strongly Duke agrees with Ilhan Omar on the perfidious Zionists:
    and

Certain Leftists with a poor grasp of logic, and/or not much in the way of political honesty, like to point out that Duke has said positive things about Donald Trump (although his basic view seems to be that Trump is a lesser evil). Their logic is, "X is a bad person, X supports Y, therefore Y is a bad person." But if you apply that logic to opposition to Israel, then Omar and those who agree with her are also tainted by Mr Duke.

Of course, the logic is faulty in both cases.

As for those Louisiana 'gators ... I'm not so sure. I've noticed that good people seem to die young, and the evil ones just live on and on and on.

Ocasio-Cortez has made so many bonehead moves, you'll have to tell me which one you're talking about.

The Amazon deal that she scotched. It had a direct negative impact on her constituency. Seems to me sufficient cause for a very low approval rating.

A lot of Puerto Ricans? There's something fishy about a poll that interviews many thousands of people in a Congressional district.

Not enough. I think the poll is BS even if I agree her opposition to Amazon was both stupid and unpopular.

Maybe people are scared to run against her and "oppose" her because then they would be labeled a racist for opposing her.

"YOU'RE ONLY OPPOSING ME BECAUSE I'M A WOMAN OF COLOR!!!!"

There are no Republican primaries in Louisiana. Louisiana has a general election everyone runs in and if no one gets a majority the top two have a run off. Anyone with enough sigs can get on the ballot and declare a party or not the party has nothing to do with it. Duke, who had run for office as a Democrat when he still tauted his racist views had tried to "reform" himself and listed himself as a Republican. The Republicans didn't buy it and wanted no part of him. The only reason he got more votes than Dave Treens bother he was running against was because just before the election Treen in an interview said he would support raising property taxes on the suburbs on New Orleans. That got Duke into a run off and as you noted the Republicans supported the Democrat.
