Oh, and BTW.. there was no drive by shooting. You are simply falsely characterizing what happened. On purpose of course. You have no reasonable argument.

 

The guys in the Durango didn't open fire.

The guy shot up an SUV with teenagers in it then ran and hid.

Only an idiot would say that isn't foul play.

 

So much characterization. Is the guy not supposed to eat? Would you not want a drink after being in what you thought was a shootout? None of that shows anything about his character.

The information about this guy is so mundane. Is the media really going to drag another person through the mud in their search for racists?

 

Ii have not watched this trial, but have read the daily news articles following the trial. But I think this case is different than GZ. First of all, there is a lot more expert testimony from the prosecution to show their case. The ME was very solid, especially under cross. And the fiancée did not exactly help the case of the defense. The way the wounds were located and the position of the body would indicate that Dunn had no way of knowing there was a shotgun or not.

But juries are unusuals creatures. You can have all the evidence in the world and the jury can still come up with not guilty. But I also think there is more pressure on this jury than there was on the GZ case and that may go against the defense.

Again, the guy claimed there was a shotgun, but the police found none. The catalyst for the shooting was loud music. Loud music is rude, but does not meet the threashhold of shooting someone. This is similar to the case with the guy who used a shovel and made the same type of defense. And the jury convicted that guy, or did he plea bargain.

 

I would probably leave too if I was getting shot at ....

Its like they live in a fantasy world where opening fire on and SUV full of people, fleeing the scene, hiding out, and then leaving the county altogether without calling the police is something innocent people do.

You shoot up an SUV, flee the scene, hide out for the night, and then make a run for it and never contact the police...you have something to hide.

This is an open and shut case.

 

Jeez people, this guys story is full of holes. He says he doesn't think he did anything wrong? Wrong or not he opened fire on another and left the scene. He says he told his girlfriend that he saw a shotgun yet his GF takes the stand at the hearing and says he never said he saw anything. The guy is trying to use SYG but, IMHO, this guy is toast because there is no supporting evidence for it.

 

Murder should get you a red X tattooed on your forehead signifying that you are no longer a citizen of the Earth with no protection from retribution. But no right to vote. Are you OK with this guy voting from prison??

When did "racism" come out as an argument in this forum about this case? IT DIDN'T!

Dunn didn't need anyone to "characterize" him. . .he testified and he was on the stand for everyone to observe him, to notice the inconsistencies in his testimony, and with his "fiancee's" (ex, I guess!) testimony. And THIS TIME, the prosecution actually got a reliable medical examiner to testify AND they made use of those very important RODS to determine the trajectory of the shots (they should have in Zimmerman's case, and they didn't. . .if they had, it would have shown that the actual trajectory of the shots were NOT consistant with the reported position of the two men while they were fighting).

If this jury comes back with a "not guilty," I will NEVER AGAIN put one foot in Florida, and will spread all over Europe the danger of visiting that state due to their moronic SYG laws and their travestit of justice when guns are involved.

But I am still hoping that the jury will not be fooled this time at least!
