Gilbert Gottfried, comedian and actor, has died

"We are heartbroken to announce the passing of our beloved Gilbert Gottfried after a long illness. In addition to being the most iconic voice in comedy, Gilbert was a wonderful husband, brother, friend and father to his two young children. A little known fact: Richard's family was famous for the discovery of "Lucy" - then the oldest hominid bones ever found. The skeleton was named Lucy because they were playing the Beatles song, "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds" at the time of the discovery.

That song was allegedly code for LSD. So one of the greatest finds in archaeological history was allegedly named in honor of LSD.

Wow sounds like suicide or accidental overdose.

 

I read about this yesterday and am so sad for her family. Mental illness is so hard on everyone around the person and sometimes they just can't cope with the anguish. She was such a talented and sweet person and her legacy will live on.

I hope we reach a point someday in which mental illness is actually addressed and people aren't shamed into "faking it" or pretending so it doesn't derail their career because that's easier.

A travesty. Shocking !! Seems the shooter was apprehended quickly. The motive as apparently stated by the shooter is that he despised the man and his policies. That degree of hatred suggests psychological impairment.......(inability to handle emotions)

Apparently Ivan's cause of death is "accidental"........... No details revealed except they found injuries to her abdomen.

I read earlier that the coroner said the cause of death was blunt force trauma from falling down some stairs at home.

That's funny. I can't recall the poster but someone here told me that his interests in re-election was solely to run out the clock on other crimes he was being investigated for and now that he has made public pity parties his battle cry to people that don't mind hurting anybody and everybody on his behalf, the prospect of him back in office is more terrifying than it was before the Capitol riot.

 

Found on the stairs was what I heard yesterday. My guess is possibly broke something in a fall and then she internally bled to death. Kind of weird that internal abdominal injuries would be the cause in a fall on the stairs I would think.
