I mean, some of your posts in this thread are funny ... Trump is a gift from God for cartoonists and comedians of all sorts, let's face it: my theory is that the Comedians International Association is paying him to provide them with materal -- but David Icke? I thought you were a liberal!!

Absolutely! I agree completely. Although "memes" is a bit different, because it's a bit of a fuzzy concept.
For example, it's a neo-Nazi meme that Jews control the US.
But it's a perfectly legitimate issue, in my opinion, to discuss the influence various lobbies have in the US, including the Israeli lobby. There was a book by a couple of academics a few years ago on this issue.
But if you don't want to discuss that issue, you will say, ha! Anti-Semites! Saying the same thing as Stormfront!

It's tricky, because we would like to be able to discuss the influence of lobbies, without inadvertently giving any support to Stormfront.

If I wrote a book discussing, and deploring as I do, the malign influence of the Cuban lobby, no one would turn a hair -- or rather, we would have
a resonably-objective argument -- because no one wants to gas all the Cubans (except maybe some residents of Miami who can't stand the music).

Anyway, I know honest people on the Left are not anti-Semites, no matter how anti-Zionist they may be, although they may sometimes find themselves amongst people who are not so pure. Same for us on the Right, or most of us.

We are, no doubt, cruel and heartless, but we're not white supremacists. We want to deny health care to poor whites as well as to poor Blacks.

"Those that control me" is a bit much, I admit, but he probably thought it meant the usual idea of the Left: that Trump (and all American Presidents) are controlled by the big corporations. Which is so funny, because I doubt you could find one Trump supporter in a hundred on the Boards of the Fortune 500 -- their candidate was Hillary, and even she was probably a wee bit too socially conservative for them.
