Your opinion is noted. However, it is only that.

It would seem there are cities in California, directed by legal council, who have concluded the Sanctuary State law has placed them in conflict with Federal Immigration law.

There goes your opinion. Perhaps you should qualify your posts as such, rather than make declarations not supported by facts.

I didn't offer an opinion. It's US law, and SCOTUS has already ruled states can't be made to enforce federal law.

and they are just as wrong
I didn't offer an opinion. I pointed out US law.

No, you are wrong, as evidenced by the actions being taken by some cities in California.

While it is true States are not required to "police" federal laws, they equally can't establish their own immigration policy.

The argument you seem to be unaware of, or perhaps don't care about, is that there are elements of California's Sanctuary State law that are establishing new immigration law by imposing fines and punishment on employers and others who attempt to meet the requirements of Federal Immigration law.

These elements are the ones cities are citing when adopting new policies that reject California's attempt to thwart Federal Immigration laws.

By claiming nothing California has done is in potential conflict, you are clearly not making the claim from a position of knowledge on the details, therefor, your statement is only an opinion, and should be viewed as such.

I am not, as evidenced by the fact nobody has been or can be arrested, as no law has been broken.

    Thank you for your opinion.

How many legislators were arrested in Arizona when it's immigration efforts were ruled to be in violation of Federal Law?

I'm sure that's how it seems to you but Jim Crow states could not refuse to segregate their schools and public accommodations in opposition to federal law.

I have not offered an opinion. I educated you on US law.

They actually violated the law, as evidenced by the court ruling. Sanctuary states/cities are not in violation of the law.

You have done nothing of the sort.

You've in fact demonstrated you have a rather large misunderstanding of the issues related to California's Sanctuary State Law.

Why do you think these cities are willing to challenge your declaration they are not in violation of California's apparent attempt to establish new immigration law?

You do understand Arizona believed they were not in violation of Federal Statues when they took their original action?

ACLU chapter and liberal foundation urge cops not to arrest illegals for crimes they commit to shield them from deportation

Urge police to create a special class of people – violators of immigration laws – protected from arrest for crimes that the rest of us would still be arrested for. Welcome to second-class status in your own country, citizens of America.
