Actually, if that were to happen, Iran would cease to exist. It's estimated that Israel has between 100 and 200 nukes, and should Iran launch an attack, the retaliation would be complete destruction of their nation.

Absolutely true. I have a number of Jewish friends on facebook, and the majority are in favor of the Iran Deal and think Huckabee's comments are beneath contempt.

 

Except that Russia, China and the other signers of the deal, with the possible exception of Great Britain, will walk away if we don't ratify the deal. And are we going to shut down the U.S. factories of the German auto manufacturers, mostly located in the South. Do you not think that if we freeze their assets like we did with Iran, that they won't do the same? And how many U.S. corporations will have their assets frozen in Europe in retaliation? Do you honestly think that if we are the only nation sanctioning Iran, that will have any effect? It took years to get Germany, France, Russia and China to join the sanctions regime which got Iran to the table. They have committed to this deal, and if we kill it, there will be no deal at all, and no more effective sanctions regime.

 

The Right's all in a tissy because the treasonous act the GOP pulled to get Bibi to cheer lead for war behind Obama's back turned out to be a big dud for the crazies and war mongers.

They have everything they had before the agreement. They will not adhere to it. PLUS now they have their unfrozen assets, and will have sanctions lifted. How can this not accelerate the process? Heck, now they don't even have to develop a nuke, they can now just BUY one from, e.g. N.K.

And Iran wouldn't need us for anything. Lol! And so much for Iran rotting away. And if we kill the deal, not only would we be sticking a knife in our own back, the GOP will be blamed for the whole thing. And rightly so!

 

I remember when lefties were saying Reagan would start a nuclear war. The media didn't call them crazy. Some of you progressive/liberal people are going to face adverse media for the first time. Try not to whine too much, makes you look weak.

 

And that is just not going to happen. None of our allies would support continuing sanctions to get such a deal, and Iran would accelerate it's program. Remember Iran had about 200 Centrifuges when we unilaterally imposed the sanctions, today they have 19,000.

I would agree that the agreement is going to help facilitate the Iran regime getting nuclear weapons faster than they would have without the agreement, but I don't have proof of that. Sorry.

I also don't see this agreement doing anything to prevent the Iranians from obtaining them which is what it would have done if Obama had a spine.

I think the problem with the Right (Republicans) is how EXTREME they are in their propaganda (as compared to the Left). Riding 'religion' as thought they own it. Calling for 'smaller' government, while reaching around deviously to 'control' people all the more. It's damned near dangerous, in my view.
