You are not stupid, Steve. Don't pretend to be.
The law doesn't, the person who writes it, (a politician who by profession, analyses every nuance that impacts turnout) is very conscious of exactly what voters every specific section of the bill, is more likely to impact. In case he's particularly dense, he's got plenty of professionals on speed dial, to tell him, including his Republican party bosses and campaign manager. Do you wonder how many of these bills, how many amendments to Section B line 24, were won or lost on a strict party line vote? that's not a coincidence, Steve.

 

As an outsider, my only comment is that this is not democracy, so any attempt by anyone to force an election result is treasonous.

In a democracy, the whole point is to compare and contrast opinion.
In a constitutional democracy, those opinions are expressed in a defined legal process.
As long as everyone respects that process, why is that so threatening?
