I'd bet my brothers pension that in the future, the only extra-terrestrials humans will encounter is the ones we actually invent in a lab?

Why?: While there may be life out there, it's most likely way, way, waaaaaaaaay to far for us to meet in under, say, 10,000 years. Yeah... That's allowing that we even have found a way to travel faster than light.

However, I do think we will be able to actually explore extra-terrestrial...terrain...in about 100 - 200 years. However, we will not be able to adopt to it because the environment will be so different at a fundamental level that we just wont take. So scientists will take some humans and/or other forms of earth life and tweak their genes to be able to dwell under the conditions of a particular region. The result will be humanoid-looking...aliens...designed to exist in a variety of different places- most likely to be used as labor.

Whether these new races will one day rise up and dominate us the way the US dominated their own colonial masters is possible.

Vibrational phasing makes distance meaningless. We may be only a few years from becoming part of the galactic community, if we don't do ourselves in or step on somebody's toes and get blasted back to the stone age again.

Vibrational phasing? Not sure how the phased vibration of molecules can make distance meaningless.

Well, I don't bet and you shouldn't either. You never know when E.T. might pop up. :alien:

"Remember again how a computer graphic completes itself sometimes in linear movement and then the pattern changes in how it continues to appear. It must also be understood that the format of creation is not flat, but is holographic and dimensional. It is important to understand that those are not intended to be analogous. Manifested creation is holographic in form and dimensional in the context of vibratory variation. In other words, which are woefully inadequate to fully explain, a holographic form can exist in similar but different dimensional variations. Once the inhabitants of earth accept the truth of the existence of other fellow inhabitants within this galaxy and others, the next great leap of understanding is that within their own galaxy there exists even more variation because each form can have dimensional variations. [With] Further evolvement by way of knowledge and wisdom through applying the knowledge, it is possible to travel between dimensions as easily as walking through a doorway. In other words a holographic form can exist in similar but different dimensional variations.

When this is understood, then traveling through space becomes comprehensible and does not seem at all impossible."

Then you must think that entanglement, quantum tunneling, quantum teleportation, quarks blinking in and out of existence, and quantum computers with multiverse and consciousness links are semi-mystical pseudoscience.

We will never see extraterrestrial life. And we will never invent it in a lab, other than what you could consider a deformed or mentally ill known species. We will destroy ourselves way before that ever happened.

A quantum computer that has been in good working order is ruined if the recording of its core assembly process is unsealed and looked at. If a fly is present and aware of the core assembly process, the computer will never work.

The viability of quantum computers is consistent with the existence of the multiverse.

I assume you are talking about the uncertainty principle. The thing is that the uncertainty principle only comes into affect on the quantum scale, it has nothing to do with casual looking. If you have evidence to the contrary, please supply it.

Also, quantum computer have nothing to do with the existence of the multiverse.

The status “unproven” might still hold sway regarding these two issues, but a contrary weight of evidence is mounting.

From the thread Scientific evidence for the Existence of God:

From the thread Universe & Multiverse models off the chart:

… The unavoidable question is: who or what is sensing the difference when something indeterminate becomes determinate? What is causing the switch when perception/awareness converts variability to one of its knowable options? A fly's awareness is enough to kill the loose cannon. The link to some aspect of consciousness is implied.

We are told that collection of photon data detected at one of the two slits does not disrupt the interference pattern registered on the target screen if the data is erased and is not available for comparison with the screen pattern, but the interference pattern is lost if the data is not erased. One claim of explanation for this is that the whole process hinges on information integrity/consistency. Do you know of any other plausible explanations?

we may create new life in the lab, but that is still not extraterrestrial life unless we say put the lab on the moon

I think robots are a more likely source of labor than mutant humans.

If we encounter ETs, I agree they won't be from another solar system. We might find something dwelling in one or more of our own solar system's oceans outside of Earth. If conditions are as hypothesised, I'd even count on that.

    Microscopic, more likely...

I've often wondered if microbes aren't the end phase of all life on earth. You ever notice how throughout evolution all the lifeforms we are aware of have gradually become smaller and smaller in size?

In the year 2082 our planet will be visited by an extra terrestrial species through non physical interaction. They will not actually come to the Earth until 2100 for obvious reasons of self preservation.

Not always, but I know we did have the age of gigantism. Atmospheric conditions were different, and plants and animals of all sorts were larger because of it, as I understand it.

Mammals were tiny back when the dinosaurs still roamed, though. We've had elephants and whales and other impressively large species come along since then. It's all down to what the environment will support.

Please elaborate, I've not noticed this, and I've always been told that lifeforms tend to get bigger over time. That would stand to reason as members of the same species that are big tend have something of a survival advantage over their smaller brethren, all other things being equal. They are bigger targets and need more food, this is true, so it's not entirely a good thing but all in all it seems to work out as a help rather than hinderance to living and procreating and so is generally a trait passed on

Go ahead and pay your brother, for the bet you lost. For there are enough trustworthy people who have already told us the truth on ETs. They are here, we have seen them, and that is that. Whether they come from another planet or another dimension is the question, not whether something else has already been here. The evidence is there, for those that look. But its up to you to believe if what these people who have knowledge of this, is factual or not. But there are so many of them, and hardly your village idiots, but men of higher qualifications than the average guy posting here.

You really do not want to pay him do you? LOL But if as many legit people had told you something about something else, you would probably have no reason not to believe them. It is only on this subject that people have a hard time believing, what a multitude of other witnesses, military, gov't people, intelligence people, astronauts, scientists, policemen and so on have testified to. The question is, why is that? Is it the " I am from Missouri" saw?

Also note that the largest animals that ever lived, the Blue Whales, live now.

Insects were much larger in the Carboniferous, there was more oxygen and insects, which have no lungs but breathe sort of directly, thru their legs as it were, became giants indeed, remember the famous three foot dragonfly.

(There was also a millipede as large as a person, but I'm not sure that was in this era. I'm only certain that it was in no era I ever want to visit, time machine bookers please note)

yet many of the founders of quantum mechanics were driven there. Oh, your mind is much more intelligent than theirs. You should be big on what great minds have thought, and said, given their accomplishments, which most people can never actually comprehend, due to our minds being insufficient to grasp it.

Pseudo science, these days, is that which is not of scientific materialism, and those that holler it out, pseudo science, do not even know that materialism itself is based upon an assumption, that matter is the ground, the foundation, of reality. The term pseudo science is still thrown about, when it comes to consciousness affecting something outside of the brain, when clearly the evidence is there to show that indeed it can, and does, as evidenced by thousands of experiements with random number generators. Yet how many people of science, infected with materialism, and its dogma, still reject the results of those experiments? And reject it, because materialism says it is impossible? LOL. So, one should be a bit suspicious of anyone who might say pseudo science, for sometimes it is no different from a religious nut making his claims.

Nobody wants to see ET's more than most scientists, but they are extraordinary things and extraordinary things require extraordinary evidence. If ET's want to be known they will land on the White House Lawn as in The Day the Earth Stood Still, until then I am quite convinced that beings who can travel between the stars can be at least as stealthy as our own aircraft

(I've often wondered why they never made a sequel to that movie, something that showed how we responded to Klaatu's invitation, and warning, the remake was really dumb but since it had Keanu Reeves in it, it sorta had to be)

But also consistent with the idea of an observer being involved, right? Afterall wasn't the multiverse idea brought about by someone being adverse to the idea of an observer affecting reality as we perceive it? That observer was just too close to what some might call God, a Creator, and that made some uncomfortable, so a way out of that, was to think up a multiverse which could also explain it, and it got rid of the observer being important.

I think Tom Campbell the physicist, who thinks the universe is a virtual reality created by a Consciousnes, or something like an intelligent computer, that exists outside of the universe, says this about multiverses, which is much more complicated, less austere way of looking at this. The simplicity of the Consciousness being the creator, which he has worked out quite well as it pertains to quantum mechancs has certain beauty to it. As well as being a candidate to place on Occam's Razor. So why move to a multiverse, when a much simpler explanation is there? What drove one away from Consciousness and the observer? What was being looked at, observed? Or, being uncomfortable with the idea of something the religions might lay claim to? LOL.
