All that aside, and granted it's all admirable, but have you reached the pinnacle of life by being recognized by strangers at your local Walmart and Kroger store?
You have to still work for it. You could make up BS stories to try and impress the youth, and that's even if all you get in return is make you feel you're important.
Those are inescapable obligations; a TRUE Christian gives of himself willingly and generously, without reservation, to those in need. . . . without begrudging. Again, Luke 6:32-36: 32“If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners love those who love them. 33And if you do good to those who are good to you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners do that. 34And if you lend to those from whom you expect repayment, what credit is that to you? Even sinners lend to sinners, expecting to be repaid in full. 35But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be children of the Most High, because he is kind to the ungrateful and wicked. 36Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful. . . . . And the needy in America are not even your enemies.
You get your stuff when you have a tube shoved down your throat hooked up to a respirator, at taxpayer's expense.
WOW, what a piece of work. <vomit> Thread is GREAT for certain aspects of my confirmation bias re leftists and their mental states. Guess you all did your good deed for the day in lecturing the smoker on the internet. What a brave bunch of virtuous heroes you are.
Keep on telling yourself whatever it takes to face the man in the mirror. Your post was vile and unwarranted, OP's thread is mostly tongue in cheek, but that sailed right over lots of you and yours' heads in your rush to get to that "yell at a smoker" low hanging virtue fruit. Yuck. Oh and spare the imperious teacher quizzing routine, no students to lord over in these parts, only your intellectual betters.
Of course the OP was tongue in cheek... to a certain extent. It was a tongue in cheek attempt at criticizing social solidarity with those who need it. And I'm calling it out. Which obviously sailed right over your head. So... how is my post "vile and unwarranted"? Please explain. I describe an expected demise of smokers who don't quit in time Much like many very effective non-smoking campaigns have done. But my main point was the one above that you obviously missed. Either that, or yours was simply a display of fake consternation.
Your post speaks for itself. No quizzing is necessary to determine what it is and the nasty, unwarranted spite it expresses, merely reading it is enough. My posts calling yours out speak for themselves also, are crystal clear, so will just stick with what is already posted instead of commit a rules violation.
Yes, I have written several Op's with that theme. That the Right wing, or Republicans, or Caucasians, or ? determine themselves a protected group. You guys are always a day late, and a donut short of being lardasses. I gave you the blueprint. Get on it.
If more people were responsible like you, there could be less laws. Their aren't, and as we see on forum moderation, people get away with what they can. We need helmet laws, so SOCIETY isn't stuck with the bulged melon bill. We are using the roads, and we accept they can choose who drives. Do you think that enforcing stop signs is giving TOO much power to the state?
What bill? Just let them die. Problem solved. Evolution in action. False equivalency comparing a stop sign to a helmet requirement.
You don't know how right you are. I think it was 80 plus percent of youth think they will grow up to have a reality show.
What's really cool though is that all these White hating White liberals are gradually getting frozen out of power by the minority groups that they trained to hate Whites. "Yes, but not me!" those White hating White liberals are going to exclaim in bewilderment, but it won't do them any good at all. I fully intend to laugh at them.
I see. So you can't respond to my arguments without committing a rules violation. I have no idea why you respond to a post if you have no real arguments.
And we spend entirely too much time worrying about that sort of crap. It helps no one and harms many.
The degree of harm is what matters. The harm caused to society and taxpayers by the phony "war on drugs" is massive when compared to dealing with a handful of addicts who would be otherwise operating as "normal" members of society and managing their addiction as the medical/mental issue that it actually is in reality.
