Funny how a CNN heading saying "recession begins to loom after Democrats take over Congress" would all of a sudden be deemed credible. But then it would state what we would agree with.

Uh huh, you'll accept anything that agrees with your preconceived notions. As long as it says yay Republicans :cheerleader: it's credible to you.

Democrats have led the charge with equal rights for the past 40 years. Republicans have done nothing but block it. As we speak, Republicans are complaining about Confederate monuments being taken down.

    You aren't fooling anyone.

This was at the end of 52 months of solid growth, full employment with average labor participation rates, rising incomes and soaring tax revenues. The economy goes in cycles and yes economist were prediciting a slowdown at the least as the economy goes through that cycle and then back to growth.
So again why do you tag it as the "Bush recession"? There is little the government can do to prevent business cycles. What it can do is mitigate some of the effects or on the other hand amplify them through the policies enacted or even proposed for that matter. The fact remains the Democrats took control of the government in 2007 and their policies and budgets and proposals were exactly the opposite of what the government should have done and that exasberated the effects and prevented us from getting into a full recovery.

Why do you say? The government doesn't run the economy.

And the Democrat controlled 110th Congress took their seats January of 2007 the recession didn't begin until December of 2007. The Democrats held majority control of the government for 11 months before the recession began when the economy was on solid ground.

Following the bursting of the housing bubble in mid-2007, and the housing market correction and subprime mortgage crisis the following year, the United States entered a severe recession.

The National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER) dates the beginning of the recession as December 2007. According to the Department of Labor, roughly 8.7 million jobs were shed from February 2008 to February 2010, and GDP contracted by 5.1%, making the Great Recession the worst since the Great Depression. Unemployment rose from 4.7% in November 2007 to peak at 10% in October 2009.[1]

So the Hosing bubble bursting caused the Recession. Hmmmm

And what legislation did the 2007 Congress pass that burst that bubble?

No he didn't, and America chose him not once, but twice.

And, americans didn't reject democrats at the polls. The democratic candidate received 3 million more votes than the republican candidate.

The democrats did not take control of government in 2007. They took control of congress. and which specific policies did they implement, that made the effects of the republican recession worse? Obama, and democrats PULLED US OUT OF the worst recession in 80 years.
