Why are you so opposed to public safety and health? It's no secret the damage that firearms can do to the innocent, so why are you insisting on creating an overly permissive environment that facilitates criminality and disorder?

So what? These searches are merely in furtherance of the public good. We cannot have individuals toting firearms and other illicit substances as this poses a danger to innocent bystanders, children in particular. If you've done nothing wrong, then you have nothing to hide. Why is it such an injustice to be stopped and searched momentarily if the end is public safety and order? Individuals who have done nothing wrong will be on their way momentarily while law-breakers will be given their just punishment. Please give me some kind of logically consistent reason why these search and frisks are unacceptable when they serve to protect the public from firearms and drugs.

Our Founding Fathers already told us what is necessary to the security of a free State; not "standing armies" to prosecute war on abstractions.

yep, we should allow everyone to arm themselves with whatever they want, switch blades, brass knuckles, assault rifles, you name it

not only should people be allowed to own them, but should be allowed to strut around in public with them...

the constitution guarantees Americans this right

As a true conservative (not a RINO), I believe the Constitution intended every citizen the right to bear any arms anytime they want. In fact, since the unborn are in fact people and citizens of this country, I won't be happy until every fetus gets it's own Bushmaster and personal RPG Launcher in order to defend itself from being aborted.

Sorry ladies, but after 3 weeks were just going to have to shove them up in there.

I am not sure what you mean; our Second Amendment only and specifically enumerates that it is a well regulated militia that is necessary to the security of a free State.

You didn't ask me any questions about black on black homicide. You just told me what you assumed was my attitude toward it, completely missing the mark.

So...you're OK with being randomly strip-searched? Maybe having a cop groping and fondling your wife or daughter?

It would be sad if it weren't frightening.

they have a right to bear arms, why would you be afraid if someone came up to you and showed you their arms

as a mater of fact unless they have a license to conceal, they have to keep them out so you CAN see them

NYC is just a modern version of an old Southern slave plantation where blacks and browns don't have any freedom. The cops are the modern day slave patrol whose primary job is to make blacks and browns feel like slaves through constant harassment. They won't even let them walk down the street without being stopped and frisked (a modern day version of where's your pass). It's like Miami in 1937, where blacks had to have a written pass if they were out in certain areas of the city after dark. But in NYC they can't even be out at anytime without being hassled.

Keep and bear, is not the same terms as "acquire and possess"; that is usually secured by State Constitutions.

And, of course, that part of the Militia of the United States which is entitled to the "character of a well regulated militia" must be exempted from State laws regarding gun control when called to federal service.
