Those 123 pages were written for an audience of one. It's their way of saying "We are your lackeys. See how we are willing to throw the Constitution under the Bus just so you don't undermine our campaign with a tweet". They don't address facts. There is no real defense in them. Nothing that would sway any American to support Trump. It's just something that his supporters can point to and say "these 123 pages... exist!" His supporters won't read it, but it doesn't matter. As far as they're concerned, they could have written "Lorem ipsum" all over the 123 pages... because they'll cheer for them just the same. And the audience of one won't read them either because... well.... he just doesn't read. But Fox will read them to him. And that's enough to have him content.
That's all well and good, but it will never get to the Senate. If it goes to a floor vote in the House, it will fail with only 204 votes with 218 needed.
Good luck getting the 31 Democrat representative who are in districts Trump won in 2016 to vote for impeachment. The numbers just don't pencil out. There are 235 Democrats in the House they need 218 to impeach. You need 17 of the 31 to vote to impeach and lose their seats. Since Pelosi likes being Sphincter of the House, I think she will tell those 31 to vote nay or present so she can stay speaker. Schiff for Brains and Nadler will end up under the bus.
You confuse Democrats with... Republicans. I will happily take my chances that most of them will put their country before their Party. And if they don't, they will be voted out. They know that only in the Republican Party do people vote blindly for a candidate. Doesn't work that way in the Democratic Party. Of course they wouldn't pencil out to you. To be a Trump loyalist the first thing you need to shed is any vestige of patriotism.
Really? Just another one of your exaggerations. Not a single democrat votes strictly on party lines? How do you come up with these ridiculous notions?
Ridiculous indeed. That's why I'm glad It's your "ridiculous notion", and not mine. Which is nothing new...
Senate Republicans are all over the place when it comes to Trump's conspiracy theories. Kennedy from Louisiana has reversed himself twice. First, he says Ukraine interfered in our election. Then he said they didn't, and the Russians did it. Then, on Sunday, he said Ukraine did it. Now Sen. Lindsey Graham, a Republican from South Carolina, has said, "I don’t know if it’s true or not. But let somebody look, but when it comes to hacking into the DNC, that was all Russia. The Ukraine had nothing to do with it. So as to the Ukraine, they had zero to do with the hacking of the DNC and the stealing of the emails." https://www.cnn.com/politics/live-news/impeachment-inquiry-12-03-2019/index.html
You said "They know that only in the Republican Party do people vote blindly for a candidate. Doesn't work that way in the Democratic Party." If you will read your own words very closely, you see that you said "democrats do not vote blindly for a candidate" because you said "Doesn't work that way in the Democratic Party" That is the sort of thing that democrats say that Trump says. You are looking more and more like Trump every day.
They thought the same thing in 2010 with Obama Care. That November they lost 63 seats in the House and 6 in the Senate.
