Enforcing these laws would double our taxes. No one will support this. I guess there's nothing we can do.
As I have posted before, I have sold many guns from my collection. It's my collection... I have the right to sell it. I have a record of every sale and I have my means of vetting buyers. And, I have every buyer sign a statement that they can legally own a gun ( it's not perfect), no system is. But if the NICS was available to me I'd have used it as well. Most of the owners I know are concerned who they sell to and most I know would use the NICS if available as well. If some one deliberately sells to a felon, they broke the law. And, DrW is correct, as a seller you run the risk of being robbed if not careful or caught in a sting...in my State, there have been such stings. VG, I build bamboo vintage taper fly rods from scratch and sell them from time to time. I keep a detailed record of those sales as well...and, Gee, I can't prevent them for being used to poach fish but my rods could make it easier.
Our patchwork of car laws is allowing the bloodbath of car deaths to continue in this country. It is ridiculously easy for ANYONE to get a car ANYWHERE in the US. State car laws are not enough. Unless we have a border crossing at each state they are not getting the job done. We need national car laws. Nearly 1.3 million people die in road crashes each year, on average 3,287 deaths a day. An additional 20-50 million are injured or disabled. More than half of all road traffic deaths occur among young adults ages 15-44. I agree with you not to lump people into a group, Ie, calling you a Gun Ban Club member, or lumping you with them. Just as you constantly acuse NRA of various things, NRA consists of People like me, not Gun companies as the Anti Gun Advocates false claims state. I have kept My agreement not to lump.
Nine in ten murders are committed by men, research finds | The ... We need national Man Control laws. Men should be kept under lock and key to prevent them from killing.
Well, they often do stings as part of JTF participating with ATF, FBI, and State and Municipalities....
That is a true statement, The Federal Government controls all aspects of full automatic firearms, within States, the ban on manufacturing full automatic firearms applies both as Interstate and Intrastate affairs, manufacture and sale and possession etc... The States get sloppy seconds and can decide if they want to allow possession of full Auto firearms.
You've already made the argument for everyone else to see. You have no desire to enforce laws that would keep killers off the street, because in your opinion it would cost a lot of money. An uneducated opinion at that. Therefore, it is obvious that you don't really want to do anything about crime, because any application of crime control costs too much money, in your opinion. Only an idiot or a gun banner would argue for more laws and enforcement of those laws, which also costs billions of dollars, that are proven to have little to no effect on crime while at the same time complaining that effective measures to save lives are too costly. You're unwilling to spend some of your income saving thousands of people per year from becoming victims of violent people, therefore nothing you say has any merit or weight.
Ignore it is then. You are incapable of honest and polite debate. You have lost before you start. Good day......I say good day sir! Lol
