If gun registration/confiscation work so well, why is your country, Australia, offering another amnesty turn in for all those illegal guns. Because even your country has a problem, and that is that now only the criminals have the guns. They are being smuggled in with electronic equipment. You see laws only affect the law abiding, criminals by definition don't obey laws.

Because according to the Australian Government, there are between 250k and 1 million illegal guns in Australia.
If laws only affect the law abiding....why have them at all? And the gun amnesty is the same reason we had tax amnesty for people hiding money overseas. We have amnesty programs all the time in this country at the state level too

If you got what you wanted, law abiding citizens in the US would be disarmed, leaving only the criminals with firearms. My life is not worth any more or less than that police officer that is supposed to protect me and my family. So I'll stick with being a gun owner/enthusiast...And you can continue being a sheep.

Notice his unsupported hyperbole? He doesn't care that Murder rate has dropped FIFTY percent since 1980,that America has since 1980 added MILLIONS more firearms,while the homicide rate dropped. America probably has more guns per capita than everywhere else,yet with added concealed carry permits by states starting in the late 1980's. The rate continued to drop through the 1990's.2000's to stabilizing in this decade. The rate is now about the same as it was in the early 1960's. Here is a chart based on the 2015 FBI crime stats,that is from the Death Penalty website: The FBI crime stats show that the vast majority of homicides occur in the large inner cities,which are often dominated by democrats. Chicago,Washington,New York,Miami,Detroit,Philadelphia and more long running democrat controlled cites,that often have the highest murder rates in the nation.
Anyone in the US can turn a gun over to LE without consequence. How many that advocate removal of guns from private use do so?
To suggest we are even close to where we need to be is laughable. I hear this refrain a lot about how democrats commit the most crime which is hilarious. Men commit the most crime.....by far.
Then explain what you want, because I bet it has to do with more regulations and laws, which criminals do not obey.
Notice he did not say Democrats commit more crimes, he said Democrat controlled cities have more crime. So more law abiding citizens with fewer firearms are easy targets for criminals...What we have been trying to explain to liberals for many years but still cannot comprehend common sense, or maybe they have an alternative reason.
