Spot on. Quite ironic that Nuland is trying to get China on her side since she and Obama orchestrated the 2014 Coup. This mess goes straight back to her and the Obama administration (uncle Joe VP and Hunter-Burisma BTW too)

Nope! They are self sufficient in growing potatoes and cucumbers, but they can’t build their own processors and do not have their own OS, so in todays world, pretty much every modern device must be imported into Russia.

Again, buckwheat is cheap in Russia, but a smartphone costs as much as it does in the US, if not more. Oh, and if the US applies sanctions on Russia, there is a technical possibility of the US bricking every smart phone in Russia, along with smart TVs, and just about anything else connected to the internet.
But, yes, there is plenty of buckwheat in Russia!

Again, the problem is, because Russia cannot produce good processors, they must rely on imports for any technology, even the technology needed to maintain russias ability to produce oil and gas. ;)

Nobody invited you to trade there. You didn’t even know it exists till like 30 minutes ago, which is more than enough to demonstrate your ignorance.

    :bored:

My ignorance? You must be projecting because I can buy Russian stocks on the US market. Like I said, not one, NONE, no Ukie stocks. Thanks for the invite but a fool and his money soon part when investing in Ukie land.

A company trading in one exchange or the other has no relevancy to this conversation.
Ukraine is getting armed and more Russians will die if they cross the border - that’s why you are pissed and are posting childish crap.

More like nervy and pathetic. Right now the US has 2 aircraft carriers in the South China Sea (China says it has no interest in the F35 sitting on the bottom btw LOL), it is bad-mouthing the upcoming Olympics, is constantly conducting "freedom of navigation" exercises and is poking the dragon by stirring the pot in Taiwan. Yet it is asking for Chinese "help" under the guise of the veiled threat of it knows what is good for it.

Regardless of how this is spun here, the rest of the world sees this for what it is.

Seems like you're getting your blood pressure up. If you're so fond of the western Ukie nationalists, the Bandera lovers, then go join them. Like you said, they are getting armed (with welfare from US taxpayers)...which will turn into their death sentence. The 2014 Coup is coming home to roost.

Zelensky is mistaken if he thinks he can take those weapons and then say, "thanks, but there's no crisis", which he is now trying to do. They came with strings attached, as he will soon find out.

Are you implying Hunter Biden kind of thing? Possible, but for Ukraine it’s a lesser evil.

Zelensky is playing a dangerous game. He thinks he is getting stronger politically but he may well be taken out of office by force or assassination in the near future. He could wind up just like Viktor Yanukovykh.

The Ukraine thing might turn into a Russian maidan. Embarrassment from the retreat, or a huge surge of body bags might do the magic.
I’ll keep my fingers crossed. :fingerscrossed:

Not at all. The US expects those weapons to be used is what I'm saying. Zelensky has been in cahoots talking this Russian invasion up. He's played his part in bringing us all close to war. Too late now to say "nevermind". He better watch his back.

I don’t have a problem with Ukraine using them when defending their country.
They can use them on Donbas as well, as far as I’m concerned. If it bothers separatists - well, you shouldn’t be driving around on a tank - should be a moving violation with the punishment administered on the spot.

If the SHTF in Donbas, then Ukraine will truly become country 404.

It may not even take any action on Ukraine's part, as the US has already floated the idea of a false flag. Russia will be blamed, regardless of who the actual perpetrator is. At that point, Russia will invoke the abbreviated version of the Lord's Prayer (f*#k it) and it's all over but the crying.

That may not happen, though, as we see Blinken and Nuland appealing to China for help as they know their threats against Russia are ringing hollow.

There are discussions with China on this topic, because not doing so would be blindingly stupid.

I don’t think the US is trying to start a proxy war in Ukraine. Woke progs are preoccupied with our internal culture war. With deep divisions in our society and the congress, funding such war could be a long term headache.

We can all have our theories, but the pieces are in place. We've piled up the kindling. It would only take a spark at this point.

BTW, "woke progs" do not control the entire bureaucracy. Nuland has the Ukraine dossier and she's an absolute Russophobic neo-con.

Yeah, those are "discussions". Whatever you want to call it, China rebuffed them out of hand.

Are you really suggesting that the USA and NATO nations should just back off and let Russia conquer independent nations in East Europe?

Nothing is final or absolute in the world of diplomacy.

Plus, remember that I was responding to your implication that talking with China is a sign of weakness.

If we can't talk with China, THAT is the sign of weakness.

Just because you've bought into the delusion of a Russian invasion doesn't mean we all have.

China has no dog in this fight, so I’m not surprised.

C'mon, man, keep up. The US didn't talk with China regarding Russia/Ukraine until it became obvious that the "sanctions the likes of which Putin has never seen" were toothless threats and fractures appeared in NATO regarding its response.

Ringing up China is an act of desperation.

Hey - if there's no invasion, that's great!

But, there is absolutely NO rational argument for ignoring the Russian troop movements or their dreams of a new USSR.

You can argue that the escalation of Russian troops on the border is an escalation that deserves an increase in attention by us and other countries.

But, you appear to be assuming too much concerning what may or may not be succeeding.
