    Sounds like a great place, pity it's not in California.

    You can go anywhere, particularly in an area the size of France, and find SOME nice places. I've been to Texas, it generally combines all the charm of the people of Mississippi with the climate of Northeast Africa

    California use to have many cities like that back when America was great and California was the Golden State.

    So what happened to California ???

    Might have been to many drugs and to many California democrats overdosed and passed out, suffered brain damage, and woke up with a complete personality change.

    Then they elected Jerry Brown as Governor back in 1975 and it was all down hill for California.

    I like how governor Newsom pulled his family out of "multicultural" Sacramento and moved to a 90% white gated neighborhood.

    I also like how he drives his entire entourage with multiple vehicles an hour each way to do it.

    CA deserves what it gets. This is why hordes of people, including myself, have left that **** hole.

    Not all the governors have lived in the ancient mansion downtown. In Brown's first term, he lived in an apartment/ mattress on the floor.

    Republicans have a conflicted relationship with California and tend to experience significant memory loss, it appears. Our governors, whether Democratic or Republican, are essentially quite similar: pragmatic/ conservationist/ fiscally generous compared to other states. The GOP is not at all like it was just a decade ago.
