I live in a sanctuary city that doesn't acknowledge state laws. We'll just ignore the parts we don't like.

Sure, it's sliding into the blue zone. Seattle's bad, but it's not near as bad as SF.

Buddy, you have been in the "blue zone" for some time and may just want to ignore reality similar to some California Republicans. Gun laws in Washington are very much like gun laws in California. How long do you think Olympia is going to allow counties to violate state law?

I like to think of it as operating behind enemy lines. It's my comfort zone.

Like I said, let them mount up and come for us. And no, WA gun laws are nothing like they have in CA.

    Really?

"Washington State Bans Sale of Semiautomatic Assault Rifles to Those Under 21

A measure to ban the sale of assault rifles to people under 21 took effect in Washington with the new year."

Of course. This is a great example of why leftists are as dumb and incompetent as everyone says.

Does nothing to stop crime, and anyone who wants their 20 year old kids to have a semi-auto rifle can still do it easily.

Looks good on paper and makes your feel better though huh?

This will be overturned, and in the meantime, eastern WA police are not enforcing this stupidity.

I'll believe that Newsome is serious when he insists on putting projects in places he likes.. like WEHO, the People's Republic of Santa Monica... Beverly Hills.... face it, any part of West Los Angeles... Think he's still popular after that? What's his position on the gentrification of places like Silver Lake, or Rampart? And dare we say... the hood? Compton? You know, I think he's really just trying to punish orange county because LA doesn't want these low income folks at all. They have to go somewhere, so why not where folks don't vote for him?

So why do you post on a discussion about Huntington Beach rather than focus on your own state's "leftists"? California and New York are catchword for liberal. "Left coast" is a bigger geographic challenge for Republicans.

That would be because I enjoyed watching you derail your own thread without realizing it.

Good job on finally figuring that out.

You being the one who got all frustrated and tried Alinsky rule # 13 on me by bringing up where I live, of course.

Mayor Garcetti is well within state compliance and LA county has repeatedly passed taxes for low-income housing development.

Are you feeling like you have been deceived into identifying your location? It's not like giving out your address.

Silicon Valley, the farmers and aerospace engineers would disagree with you.

And yet remains the most stratified, most segregated city in all of California. Amazing how that "compliance" is working... LOL.

And for the record, why are low income residents having to flee LA county? And specifically, why aren't any of these NIMBY *******s having to take ownership in their own neighborhoods?

Still derailing your own thread after trying to say I was the one to derail it. Laughable.

I think someone has deceived you into thinking you have an argument.

No, you're welcome to keep talking about WA and me instead of your own topic if you'd like. I don't care.

I'm merely questioning your motives to post an opinion on a topic localized 1000 miles away from where you live. You seem to deride California when you live in a state that is as liberal. It's like you complaining about the Rams when the Seahawks had a worse season.

Yeah, I looked up where you live and questioned why you would be concerned about a topic and make statements about California that apply to your own state as well. Republicans are a dying breed across the West. Perhaps that is the underlining frustration for you.

I don't care why you're all concerned about it.

I've lived in 14 different states and 8 different countries in my life, including the People's Republic of Kalifornia. I was only in CA thanks to the USMC and DoD who decided I should be there a while. I left as quickly as I could.

I moved to a nice conservative area of eastern WA that defends it's citizens rights, unlike CA. Here I'm free to hunt, fish, train, and enjoy my freedom. The state does have some really stupid leftists, for sure, but if you must know, I enjoy being on the front lines of this fight for our rights.

I'm within distance of Portland and Seattle rally's, which I enjoy attending and laughing at unconscious antifa littering the sidewalks.

Keep trying to work your bravery up telling yourself conservatives are a "dying breed" if it makes you feel better.

As I said earlier, leftists are their own worst enemies. They're not smart enough to understand the realities of what their feelings will bring about, and they're too weak to survive their own decisions.

If power went out for 24 hours half of the Democrats in leftist areas would probably not survive.

Most of the tech workers in silicon valley don't even live there. Many don't even live in the state. More people are leaving than are entering.

    https://www.paloaltoonline.com/news/2017/02/17/report-more-people-leaving-valley-than-coming-in

    Who suffers?

The people the left pretends to defend: low income and minority workers.

30% of workers in Silicon Valley don't make enough money to provide basic needs.

    California: making serfdom cool again.

This is 1.2 million dollars. LoL.

How do you figure his remark in "unsubstantiated" When he's saying something should be done? How can you "substantiate" a future act?

:roflol: I love how every time conservatives bash California, they jump on prices in Silicon Valley. Do you know why a 1859 sqft 4 bedroom house in Silicon Valley is $1.2 million? Because someone is willing to pay that! It's called Capitalism and this guy named Adam Smith wrote a book about it. On top of that, you conservatives blast liberals for not doing enough of the very things you guys don't want done, like regulating businesses. Make up your freakin' minds.

My point that there are productive people in California still stands.

What is it, Texass? California grows more than twice as much food as Texas yet your state is twice as large. Even though California has many mountain ranges and a very large desert, it is way more productive than Texas and grows crops that would never survive in your cold winters / hostile climate. Jealousy makes a person look very petty, huh?

Agriculture is Calfornia's biggest business. Most of the central valley is farmland. How is that isolated pockets?

No jealousy here. I’ve been to CA twice. The only place that looked good was Carmel. And the East Coast (where I’m from) has lots of Carmels.
