There's the new White House Office of Faith-Based Charities, violating the 1st Amendment, and just one of a myriad of executive actions and laws upheld by the Supreme Court (including the droning of an American citizen without due process, which might be the topper) that have trashed every amendment in the Bill of Rights, proving that it is not worth the paper it is printed on.

I believe we should be able to confide in the sincerity of Religion, whenever civil Persons of religion claim to prefer religious forms of punishment; as a way and means to lower our tax burden to enforcing only the secular and temporal morals, ordained and established by our Founding Fathers (in their Wisdom).

???And what do you think a better White House Office of Faith-Based Charities is going to do for the debt?

"Better" implies throwing money money at something, so it would increase the debt, and increase the violation of the religion clause in The First Amendment.
We may all be in agreement here, although God only knows what Daniel Palos is trying to say.

He cannot represent them, because he does not necessarily reflect their will. You have no way of knowing what every person in Japan wants without voting...because you are not actually asking them.

The voters are the only ones who matter. Leaders are not entitled to rule merely by an accident of birth. There is nothing special about the Emperor...if there was, Japan would not have been overrun by the much younger nation that they were trying to conquer or destroy.

Japan withered under the Imperial model and flourishes under the democratic model. You really think that is a coincidence? Democracy has made Japan far stronger than their monarchy ever did.

Again you know nothing. The emperor holds more power today than ever before. In most time of history the emperor did not even leave court. Japan was ruled from the Shogun. The emperor was only a spiritual leader. But as i said...you are from colorado. :D. Beside that, Japan is not a democracy. We are ruled since 60 years from the same party, from the same families than before WW II. Nothing changed. The offices are given from father to son. Elections are a farce in Japan.

The Emperor holds no actual political power.

Japan is a Constitutional Monarchy, which is a form of democracy. In some Constitutional Monarchies, the monarch does have some actual political power. That is the case in the UK...but not in Japan.

The Emperor basically executes ceremonial duties, but does not decide anything.

Elected officials might CHOOSE to defer to the Emperor, but are not bound to do so, and may override the Emperor at will. The choice (and thus, the power) always remains with the elected officials, not the emperor. He is not technically even the sovereign anymore...the Japanese People collectively are considered the sovereign.

    "Was" being the operative word.

Japan fits the definition of "Democracy". A Constitutional Monarchy is a form of democracy. The political power is held by the People, not the monarch.

...because the masses wanted it that way. The masses determine who rules Japan, not the Emperor.

    According to who?

I am guessing that you do not know everyone in Japan. If so, I don't see how you can make a statement like that.

You have already admitted that your views are a minority in Japan. If everyone believed voting was a farce, then it stands to reason that no one would vote, right? Yet 53 million people (or more) voted this year alone. Why are they doing that if it is a farce? You tell me.

I agree. My country is at a much higher level. The world speaks our language, and fears our military, and buys our products. And we have never been nuked or overrun by a foreign power.

There is no nation that is at our level, or ever has been.

So why is it that 100% of the People do not vote even when they are told to?

If that was true, you would all either be voting or not voting. Yet that is not what is happening. Are you saying large portions of your society are disobedient?

Apparently the only adversaries capable of nuking America were other Americans.

Tell that to Zionists Jews who've used their religion as a land deed/ title - claiming that their god promised the land to them.

The snag being , that their god is not stepping forward to confirm his promise and seem to prefer remaining silent sitting at the far end of the Universe , perhaps being amused/laughing his head off - at the dastardly/devilish deeds perpetrated in his name. (wink)

IMO - If god was any good , he wouldn't tolerate/permit such evil doers + inflict them on the rest of humanity.
That's what I'll tell him when I see him. (wink)

I don't think we should pay you back. We'll forget about the Second World War and just call it even.

You guys are being silly. No one group is all-around genetically superior. One may excel at math, another at music or art or may win sprint races in the Olympics. MLK was right in saying that the content of person's character is the important thing, and that cuts across all races and nationalities.

We're already decades ahead of you in military and space technology without knowing how to count to ten. If we learned to count to ten you'd have no chance at all of catching up.

You laugh at your own inconsistency?

Maybe someday you will figure out what your own argument is. An American higher education might help.
