I see nothing there granting any statehood. They are NOT a recognized country or state. Nor will they ever be if they don't support terrorist groups like Hamas and Hezbollah.

Well, you're plainly wrong- if not a tad myopic. Palestine is now a UN-recognised non-member Observer State- on the pre-1967 borders. Do yourself a favour and accept it.

See it now ? General Assembly Resolution
    GA/11317

The vote was 138-9 in favour. The US of AIPAC and Israel were two of the nine. You'd need a map and a magnifying-glass to identify five of the others.

Only Moon could take a thread about the danger of North Korean military action and turn it into yet another thread about the Israeli/Palestinean situation. Talk about a one-track mind!

It happens that NK has been fomenting the arming of Iran and other rogue states. The sooner some sane people are put in to run things in NK the better.

    Not at all. It was you who posed the question;

So don't waffle on when somebody responds to it.

A huge problem is that the North Korean people are so brainwashed that the West is evil, that it's not possible for them to assimilate into a world where that is not the case.

It was the same with the Japanese during WW2 and yet they managed quite well once their old regime got toppled.

I would say that it wasn't to the same degree as the situiation in North Korea.

It was way worst... The Japanese culture had considered other race as sub humans for hundreds of years. From their birth to their death they believed themselves the pinnacle of the human race and worst, they view life as unnecessary or at best secondary to national pride.

The feudal peasants certainly didn't and the samurai had no reason to as they were just working stiffs. You must be describing the feudal elite. They were the same all over.

Something to consider...One does not need a missile to get a nuke to its target....Just a slow freighter under a false flag

Actually no I wasn't. The japanese were indoctrinated from childhood to believe that the emperor was god and that their life was meaningless (they had a saying about death being as light as a feather compared to life).

If it was that easy it would have been done already...
The Trojan horse story was just that a story...

An even bigger problem is how to deal with a massive exodus that would occur once that land is liberated.

Easy? Ah, a strawman....Ok, lets play...first one needs a nuclear weapon...wait, the barbarians have one..next, they need a ship...Gee, they have those too...lastly, they need a crew able to find a US port...Darn! They have those as well...

Yes, it is 'easy' when one has all the tools...which is why the islamoFascists have NOT done it...yet.

    Lol...

None of that you just type has ever been out of reach of a determined nation.
If the soviet weren't bright enough to ship nukes covertly in the 60's, what makes you think that a two bit enterprise like NK or Iran could do it, especially with todays surveillance.

Worst case scenario would be a low yield dirty bomb at best and even then, since it would be detonated in the harbor, most of the radiation would wash out to sea.

The leaders of North Korea just like to blow a lot of hot air. Nothing of substance comes from them.

Before WWII the standard line from folk wanting to hide behind our oceans was that the Japanese were not to be worried about as their military was far inferior to ours and their aircraft were a generation behind ours...except they were not.

How hard is it to move something that can be put in something way smaller than a shipping container by sea anywhere?

We don't want China taking over NK. China would love that whole penensula. People need to remember....we were fighting N. Koreans AND the Chinese during the Korean War.

I think with China putting there own men on the ready at the border, we need to be assertive.
