NY’s Cuomo to receive International Emmy for virus briefings

It looks to me like Cuomo is being set up to be a front-runner for 2024 DNC presidential nomination. The media is already coating him with Teflon.

The guy who sent thousands of Covid patients into nursing homes, ensuring widespread infection and death among the most vulnerable, is getting an Emmy for "keeping New Yorkers calm by utilizing media". That's pretty twisted.

So his decision killed a bunch of New Yorkers, but hey, the man looks good on television! LOL

An Emmy....for news briefings in a pandemic.... the guy's a buffoon but that's beside the point...please tell me this is a hoax....this has to be the pinnacle of shallowness...rather the filthiest deepest pit of shallowness

 

This ranks pretty close to Obama winning a Nobel Peace prize for nothing more than being black while President.

the reality is, Nursing Homes should have separated infected people, they failed to do this, hospitals could not give up a bed for everyone that showed no symptoms and tested positive, not enough beds

 

Nothing will change. If people don't know by now to social distance, wash their hands, and (maybe) wear a mask if they can't social distance, then they are never going to know. So, individuals control "the curve", not government. We always have since we got the information last spring. Nothing is ever going to keep the younger generation from socializing at legal or illegal house parties or street protests, since they are pretty much invincible. Even older adults will assess the personal risk of getting the virus and the personal risk of transmitting to others and make their own decisions.

A change of presidential administration won't impact that, except for talking down to citizens as if we are not capable of independent decision-making. Treatments/vaccines are on the way this year anyway, so Biden is walking into the tail end of the plandemic.

(Also, this thread is about Killer Cuomo winning an Emmy. Not everything is about Trump to everyone, every time. lol)

 

And probably 'ol Joe will get a Nobel Prize in medicine. Also I can just imagine the withdrawal agonies some folks here are gonna go through when Trumps gone, like what meaning will their lives have without Trump to obsess about 24/7?

 

I expect Trump derangement will continue the next four years, since the media has nothing else to cling to, and they have marching orders not to criticize Biden in any way. People on Twitter, who aren't thinking this is a dumb joke, are applauding Cuomo getting the Emmy "because it will make Trump mad that he isn't getting one." TDS. It probably is true, however, that Trump is likely to see this as another media/entertainment personal dig at Trump more than a deserved "reward" to Cuomo. It probably is.

So the irony here is that Trump also held widely-watched daily Covid Task Force breifings, but rather than having "characters, plot lines, and stories of success and failure", Trump only had epidemiologists and other medical scientists (Fauci, Birx, et.al.) as well as operations experts who were actually getting things like PPE, ventilators, a medical ship to New York, and people talking about fast-tracking treatments and vaccines.

What a sham.
