I am not justifying anything. I am giving my thoughts on the current political landscape.

I believe you are going to have to compromise with racism in order to preserve the nation.

Rules against providing refreshments to voters exist in many states, and were initially passed as part of "clean government" movements to prevent political organizations from influencing voters at the polls.

Even if you are right about intent (which I SERIOUSLY doubt for several reasons) it really doesn't matter.

The outcome is known. Yet, the policy continues.

In fact, that kind of policy is being strengthened by Republicans who have a clear record of working to make voting harder for those they hate.

There is no evidence for your claim.

This fits the pattern of right wing work to make it harder for those they hate to vote.

It fits in with engineering long lines, exacerbating transportation difficulties, making it more expensive, etc.

Now, they demand that it be harder to stand in line at polls if you're in an area underserved by polls.

And, when Republicans hear about that problem, they double down rather that work to solve the problem.

In other words, there is LOTS of evidence.

Once again, the Dream Ticket is Trump-Cheney 2024:

The Dream GOP Ticket being floated for 2024 is Trump/Cheney.
Apparently they think that pairing Ivanka with the Ex-VP is a stroke of genius that could lead to a 50-State Sweep.

Racism been an integral part of America since it's very beginning.

That's not a legacy we can eliminate in a short period of time.

But, there is no excuse for tolerating it.

I just gave an excuse. By not tolerating it you will destroy the nation.

There is lots of evidence of which you have not provided a shred. Instead of telling us there is evidence, how about providing the evidence?

I have lots of evidence that there is a spaghetti monster in the sky that created the universe and heaven will have lots of meatballs, take my word for it. Did I convince you? If not, then you can certainly understand why you did not convince me with your assertions.

Nope. It remains easier to vote in many red states than in many blue states.

Believers in the Trunt Syndicate are like Cowboys fans during the playoffs - all juiced up during the first quarter, but throwing garbage on the field and slinking home in humiliated defeat at the final buzzer... :roflol:

The work being done by Republicans is being designed to make it harder for certain citizens to vote.

The issue is not state v. state, and Republicans emphasize that you're issue is not the point at all.

The issues are STATE laws that include removing polling places where certain constituencies live, giving inadequate equipment and support to specific polling places ensuring long lines there, denying access to the mail in ballots that others are allowed, limiting voting hours, making it more expensive for wage earners to vote, etc., etc., etc.

These are differences being engineered WITHIN states.

And, moves to remove the various assaults being designed by the states are being pitched by Republicans as a federal take over.

Republicans WANT local control, because that is how they can win elections.

In fact, Trump stated that Democrats are trying to make it impossible for Republicans to win elections!!!

He full well KNOWS that free and fair elections would make it hard for Republicans to win.

Yes, Democrats are trying to end run at the federal level Republicans' success at the state level. And it remains the case that it is harder to vote in some Dem states than in Repub states.

I have actually thought that a mixed ticket might be good for America. It might be good if our goal is to have more unity, more cooperation, and less polarization.

For example, I think Nikki Haley/Tulsi Gabbard would be a potent Republican ticket.

They are raging liars, and now Sarah is in jury selection for the NYT's lies and libel against her.

The Palin v. NYT trial will be an “excruciating experience” for the paper. Palin’s chances could be quite a bit better than these two two experts suggest. Some members of SCOTUS know exactly how damaging the blizzard of lies from the lying fake news are.
    Honest error my ass.
    Unintentional my ass.
    The hell they are.

Well the GOP is in bad shape if it depends on a Democrat and a Neo-con.

They planned an assault on our federal building where our election was being certified. People died. There STATED objective was to terminate our election process.

At the state level, there are too many methods to list here. I've noted numerous ones, including in this thread.

Please note that Trump's response to the effort to ensure that people can vote is to state that Democrats want to make it impossible for Republicans to win elections.

That is a CLEAR statement that assaulting free, open and fair elections is what he sees as a legitimate process.

So your lone assertion is that the GOP was responsible for the single weakest “insurrection” in the history of mankind where around 2000 people were going to overthrow a government of 350 million. But let’s ignore whether it was an insurrection. You have evidence the GOP was invlolved?

There is no question about that.

The 700+ who have been arrested have given testimony.

There is a treasure trove of documents including phone calls, texts, etc., from McCarthy, Trump, Hannity, Meadows and others showing this was well known and supported by the party.

It’s just musing on my part. It would never happen. The GOP appears to be in good shape for the 2022 congressional elections, but I think it badly needs someone new for 2024.
