First of all, it is fact that Fast & Furious was an illegal botched operation. Second, it is fact that Eric Holder is uncooperative and stalling the investigation. Third, Obama is implicating himself by using executive priviledge. Let's be perfectly clear here for you limited liberals: Nothing of what happened in Arizona is going to doom Obama. His AG, and his own actions will doom him. Fox News, CBS, and a few others are the only ones covering this in detail. The rest of the lame stream media are Obama kiss-asses, and choose to downplay or ignore this.

That is not quite right...the old media has almost completely ignored the scandal so as to insure the average citizen had never heard of it or simply put it off to partisanship. The issue came to a head because the new document dump would seriously embarrass both Holder and Obama. The damage of declaring executive privilege was far less than having those documents surface before the election...

Think about it...what would the independent think if it became clear that people had been killed, including Americans, in pursuit of a political scheme to grow gun control laws, laws the public does not want and the Constitution might prohibit?

The Kooks are asking two simple questions...what was the actual purpose of a program that forced US gun dealers to sell arms to folk they new were buying illegally and did not have any serious tracking program associated with it aside from flooding Mexico with US guns and...Was the program a political scheme geared to justify new gun control laws...

I believe Holder and Obama were involved in the scheme, either in approving it or in trying to hide it and I believe the papers being hidden prove it.

 

What I don't get is that invoking Executive Privilege is done to protect the White House....the president....and his ability to deliberate and get candid advice from his advisors.....without fear that it will go public. The thought is that a president MUST be able to talk candidly and seek advice candidly among his advisors.

BUT this is documents the Congress is trying to get from the AG's Office. Last time I looked, the Executive Branch and the Judicial Branch are two separate branches of government. The AG dept is not part of the WH and vice versa. So, what is the president doing invoking EP over this? According to Holder during the hearings he said the president knew nothing about it.

So, what are they trying to cover up?

 

For the record, the AG is a part of the Executive Branch. They are the Government's attorneys, not the Government's judges.

The department of justice isn't part of the judicial branch its part of the executive branch, only the Supreme court is part of the Judicial branch.
