Really? The ammo shortage started after Obama had already been in office 4 years. You'd think that a right wing panic would happen right after his first election.

    Stop lying.

Bull(*)(*)(*)(*). The ammo shortage started immediately after Obama was elected.

Um, no. Now you're just making it up. I'm sorry, I can't have a cohesive conversation with somebody who's willing to invent "facts" in service of their twisted ideology.

I think you're skewing the facts on this. I do remember very temporary shortages on ammunition after Obama was first elected. The chronic shortages didn't occur until the government started buying up ammo by the billions of rounds, I'm talking about shelves being EMPTY for several months consecutively. The shortage of 2008 doesn't even remotely compare. Although people were panicked to buy ammo, the shortage was caused by the fact that ammunition makers were diverting the bulk of their manufacture to filling DHS orders. The shortage and the ensuing panic caused a crunch where people were lining up at sporting stores waiting for the truck to bring ammo. I know. I drove one of those trucks and made some of those deliveries to Big 5. There's no doubt that empty shelves were caused by both because whatever amount of ammo retailers received were immediately snatched up. But the fact remains that there's no way for the federal government to buy billions of rounds of ammunition without causing a massive retail shortage that has nothing to do with the panic.

Shortages on the shelves were 100% the cause of the private consumer.

So far you have yet to produce anything. And I skewed nothing, I posted sources with show there was an ammo shortage in 2008 in direct correlation with Obama getting elected and the private consumer buying more than the commercial venues normally produced. That is inevitable no matter what product you are selling that you will have a shortage once the shelves and inventory are cleared before it can be restocked.

It was the EXACT same thing that took place in 2012. It is all private consumer driven.

This should clear up any thoughts of the DHS purchases causing the shortage since 2012:

What is that? They purchased more in 2008 than in 2012, and they will purchase less in 2014!!!!!

    Bunked. Sorry.

The price for ammo started going up immediately after Obama was elected. When price goes up due to demand shock that means there is a shortage. Live with it.

Your Leftist hackery is revealed just in this short sentence, subjecting reason, logic, and common sense to falsehoods to buttress your world view. 100%? That's a load of crap. The DHS struck a contract for 1.6 billion rounds and several manufacturing plants begin to fill that order. Supply and demand dictates that such a diversion from the civilian markets will certainly cause massive shortages, particularly in the specific calibers of 9mm, 5.56 NATO, and many popular LEO calibers such as .40 JHP and .357 SIG. Cold, Vulcan logic, which the Left is incapable of, dictates that there's no way to divert that many rounds to federal contracts without causing shortages. The lying Left, including you, have pushed this lie that consumers started, aggravated, and sustained a months long ammo shortage.

    So stop lying.

Oh yeah, and none of you on the Left can answer the question of why the USPS needs to join in on a massive federal ammunition purchase. http://www.newsmax.com/Newsfront/USPS-ammo-purchase-federal/2014/04/14/id/565541/

The numbers I posted if you bothered to read the report I posted don't lie. Nothing I've stated has been a lie, in fact I've done nothing but provide sources of factual information.
